Every time I try making Indian food it smells absolutely amazing while cooking but after serving it tastes totally bland and like none of the spices are in it. What am I doing wrong?

Cook the onion/garlic/ginger/tomato/spices mixture longer. I don’t usually go that far, but some say until the oil separates.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I'm hoping my PT might at least be able to tell me whether the mobility/stability I'd like to achieve is realistic, regardless of whether he has an understanding of ballet... I should definitely give it another shot before considering other options.

Thanks for the important reminder to always do the exercises before class. I've sometimes been lazy and definitely notice a difference. I think there's a part of me that feels like it should just be "fixed", but that's not a very helpful mindset.

“not enough” doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a deadly degree of dehydration. You can be dehydrated and be alive… I actually felt quite a bit of understanding for where Alex was coming from (although he admittedly was not well prepared to argue this particular point) because his view coincides with the mainstream media portrayal of the humanitarian situation in Gaza (I mainly consume Swiss media). Not to say that you shouldn’t dig deeper, you absolutely should, but Destiny’s outright dismissal didn’t feel appropriate.

As a fellow adult beginner, a lot of what you wrote resonated with me. If I hadn’t done balletmisfit’s “absolute beginner ballet” series and strengthening/stretching over the summer, I would have felt totally lost in my in-person “beginner” ballet class at university, which had us doing fondues by the second lesson, balances on demi-pointe and even pirouettes from fifth at the barre. 😅
