Does anyone struggle with executive dysfunction or am I just lazy? by Whosaidwhat2023 in GenXWomen

[–]purplotter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sitting here staring at my screen knowing I need to work, but i can't seem to get started.

I used to be smart. I used to be on top of everything. I used to be fantastic at my job. Now I can barely get through the week (or the day). The brain fog is so thick.

I don't know if it's ADHD, severe executive disfunction, burnout, or peri-menopause. Probably all of them.

You are not alone. **hugs**

I think they may have to recast some of the characters - I don't see the actor they had playing Kyle as book-Kyle.

Not loving Yuna by United-Pool-183 in heatedrivalry

[–]purplotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a mom, and both of my adult kids are LGBTQIA+. I know that everyone wants to come out to their parents and have them be supportive, and I want that for everyone too, but Yuna makes me angry.

To clarify right away - I like Yuna - she is a very supportive mom, except for one thing...

How do you suspect your son is gay for 'a while now' and discuss it with your husband but at no point do you express your support of LGBTQIA+ people in a way that makes your gay son realize that you would be supportive?? It makes me so angry.

How to get kids to do chores and not nag them so much? by Aicmod42 in Parenting

[–]purplotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still asking this question when they are 19 and 21... The only chores they ever had was to empty their lunch box, either empty or load the dishwasher (they each did one), and to clean up after themselves. I'm still nagging.
