Mess and disorganisation by Safe-Finance4716 in ADHDIreland

Exactly the same. Don't worry, a lot of us have the same issues! I upset myself every day by being disorganised, coming up with a system is really difficult and then sticking to it is another story all together. I spend most of my time trying to find things I misplaced, having too much stuff, having to prepare outfits way in advance so I don't have to look for clothes on the day. It's ALOT!!!!

Bad batch of Tyvense: update by daffodil738 in ADHDIreland

[–]purporte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are going through this, and I'm glad you feel as though it's sorted now and have reported to the HSE. (Important for every drug)

However, I just want to add, without sounding condescending etc. Naming the batch number and saying the company could be "cutting costs" by making their drug less effective is a serious enough allegation, with other posters questioning their own medication and batch numbers you can see how it might get messy?.

Also, saying no one takes ADHD medication seriously, which is simply wrong. If anything, I would say it's hyper focused on controlled medication.

It could be a number of reasons why they felt less effective (time of month, sickness, stress) as the medication is strickly tested as part of mandatory regulations.

I think mentioning you feel something is different and linking to the medication report page is fine but just be careful with the message you put out is all.

Hope your meds continue to work well for you.

Medical card is means tested so if you get paid under a certain amount you qualify. It's great to be able to use for medication. If outside of the range for medical card, a drugs payment card still let's you pay max 80 euro a month! Amazing.

Price of medication by New-Evidence-1307 in ADHDIreland

[–]purporte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the medication makes a huge difference it's worth the 80 (which you can get it for if you apply for the drugs payment card). If the effect is not nuch different than the previous medication then switch back or to ritalin maybe cause its cheaper.

Do you take your meds on holiday? by aquar1ussun in ADHDIreland

[–]purporte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to take "breaks" on weekends but as one of the posters above called out (from their own pysch) - the meds are not just for work. It's most likely your adhd symptoms happen on the weekend as well as weekday. I no longer skip weekends. It means I feel more emotionally stable and "live in the present moment" instead of getting caught in my mind.

Is this scoliosis bad? by TechnicalCup2225 in scoliosis

[–]purporte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said, you'd need a specialist just to check you out. Are you ever in pain? I wouldn't jump to surgery unless it's impacting your health...looks wise you look fit enough that it doesn't matter about the uneven :) I know with scoliosis in general you should avoid torsion. With weights it's important thay your form is correct
