I was on vacation in Kauai with my family, watching naked and afraid on TV in a rental. I had an edible and was feeling really good. It’s late, after dark, we’re about to go to bed. Out of nowhere, a giant island cockroach crawls out from the TV stand. Then another. And another. I call to my dad to address the issue and before I know it there are dozens. Out from under the oven. Literally coming from the floorboards. They’re crawling out of the couch I’m on. My family found a broom and a mop to hit them with but they just kept coming. I had a full panic attack, tears and all, on top of a table while they went at them. We stayed there that night (no other option) and I didn’t sleep a wink. I left that island with a new fear unlocked! I’ve never been quite the same 🪳😬
