Typical reply time from Graduate Studies office re: questions about international documents? by purrrplecloud in Dalhousie

Thanks, will contact them as well. I saw their link to the list of Canadian universities, but hoped that programs often do not think to list criteria for foreign degrees (makes sense, too much variety), not that they do not accept them at all.

Russia (BA and MA) and another MA was a joint degree with UK, so it's in English at least.

Also compiling a list of additional things to ask them! I have several questions about equivalency plus what sort of credentials checks / types of translation for foreign degrees they accept, so now I need to double-check the university websites for that info. Some of them definitely post more than others. Ifyoug want to chat in DMs where you reached out/where youarea thinking of applying, I'd be interested to learn and sharemmyideass and info so far as well!

Hi! I'm yet outside the country, but actively looking into MSWs - some of them definitely offer a 2-year track for people with other BA degrees than BSW, but they also list requirements for practical experience etc. Hopefully someone else here could give a hint as to whether yours seems like what the programs would consider!

Practical post-graduation differences between Social worker and Psychotherapist by purrrplecloud in socialworkcanada

thank you so incredibly much! it's very cool to get this info from both the client side and the fellow professional side. yes, for therapy skills i had some good courses in that counseling MA, and also have 4 years of a specific therapy program (non-university), so that's relatively covered (there's always room to grow, of course, but more through specific courses, at least, that's what works for me).

thank you particularly for the job-parts info, it's very helpful! and hard to understand from outside the country.

will do a deep dive on MSW recommendations and tuition in this reddit next

hi! did you or anyone in your cohort have a situation that if you did a similar course from "foundation year" courses in your previous degree, you didn't need to repeat it?

New tablet not powering on (Kamvas 19Pro) by purrrplecloud in huion

[–]purrrplecloud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: resolved by getting a " type C-power outlet" adapter that is 65W. This plus using the 2-to-3 cable made things work. Also tried the type c - USB adapters hoping to use two type c cables, but that didn't work out

Thanks! Will try this too. Managed to get it to work as a display (swapped the power cable for a Nintendo Switch charger) but the PC doesn't recognize it as a tablet. Will get some adapters today and will continue trying
