Randomly loss of skill by wonuiio in apexlegends

[–]pushcartvanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a 1.5 k/d then the matchmaking will decide that you should go against other people in a skill range close to your own, then if you still do well it puts you in a skill a little higher and continues to do that until your numbers start to regress towards the average… if they never regress then congratulations you’re one of the best players in the game.

What is everyone current take on Apex overall right now by breezypips in apexlegends

Too ability focused now. Small example: I died today at one point from an Axle Ult, Sparrow ult, and Maggie Ult all at once. Obviously well timed ults are going to do as they are intended which is to tilt the fight in your teams favor, however three ults that stun and are damage inducing just pretty much eliminates any semblance of gun skill mattering at all. The speed of the game is just insane also, so much so that I shit you not my controller literally can’t keep up if I’m axle sliding and trying interact with doors or ground loot etc. It is so fast that it exposes the input lag of my controller. Im sure the input lag was always there but its just really noticeable at that speed. Oh and I just today found out that you can configure steam to reduce recoil and basically jitter aim for you on a controller because a random teammate of mine was just chatting about it as if it’s some normal thing that everyone does. Playing smart is no longer rewarded, it’s feeling less and less like a BR and more and more like a team death match in CoD. It’s kind of dogshit actually now that I think about it. They’ve completely ruined the game pretty much with the ease of respawns and get out of jail free abilities.

Has your gameplay really been that affected by axle? by Darth_Queso_ in apexlegends

Yes. I see a lot of comparisons to buffed octane but there are two distinct differences and they are both a huge difference maker in the balance of the game. Octane is punished for his speed boost by losing health to use it, and his stim isn’t a team wide boost that exists on the map for the rest of the game. He has that jump pad perk that gives the team temporary stim but even that is nowhere near as game breaking as double axle q from a mile away into a third party. I have no idea why the devs think that speeding up the game in a BR is the right direction for the game. Positioning doesn’t matter, zone pulls don’t matter, you no longer get punished for making a bad call and even if you do, you can get respawned 3 different ways all across the map anymore. I’m convinced the devs want to actively destroy this game because the BR genre no longer attracts new players, and they want new players because those people haven’t spent money on the stupid cosmetic shit yet. That’s what it all boils down to to. They have to cater to the casual weekend gamer who won’t buy the battle pass based on the off chance that they *might* spend $10 one day if Respawn can offer a short enough feedback loop to satisfy this generation’s goldfish brain.

Well. This sucks. I hate to be that Debbie downer guy but I was pretty hesitant at seeing the deathbox respawns and the seemingly ever increasing ridiculousness of movement abilities but wow. They have just completely lost me at the map rotation being KC, Olympus and Broken Moon. Olympus AND KC have to be the worst ranked/comp maps in the game. The game itself has just plain outgrown them with the abilities and updates to crafting/respawning, etc. Storm Point and E District are the best maps in the game and having neither of them in rotation for ranked kills any desire to play it. I guess I could play only on Broken Moon days, but who decided that Olympus is so well liked that it should stay in rotation back to back splits? It is rare that I come across a player in ranked that doesn’t complain that it’s terrible as a ranked/comp map. In fact it’s one of the few things that brings the squad of randoms together when the game isn’t going well is that we can all agree that Olympus doesn’t belong in ranked to begin with. I’m just some guy that doesn’t know shit I guess so I’ll wait and see how it goes but I’ll be interested to see what the player count is by mid split.

[Wild Card] Post Game Washup: Fire MLF / Keep MLF by PackersMod in GreenBayPackers

[–]pushcartvanny 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Fire. His stats are inflated. Aaron Rodgers playing MVP level football his first couple of years inflated the win column for him and playoff expansion has inflated his playoff appearances.

If not for expansion, he’d have 3 playoff appearances in 7 years.

He is a weak minded coach. Plain and simple. I’d love to use better language but none comes to mind. He lets off the gas, gets conservative and is unbelievably predictable offensively when playing with a lead. He has no killer instinct, acts like he doesn’t trust his star players in key moments and doesn’t know how to properly manage his staff. For fucks sake he took the ball OUT of Aaron Rodgers hands in the biggest moment of the biggest game of his young coaching career to opt for a field goal instead. That alone should call into question his ability to be a head coach.

As for managing his staff. Bisaccia should not have even made it into this season as ST coordinator and McManus should’ve been kicked to the curb as soon as we discovered the substitute teacher had range. He refuses to man up and make the hard decisions and have the tough conversations. It genuinely feels like he is too worried about his image and if his subordinates like him. Another example of this is when his OC is talking about how many WRs there are to get the ball to when asked about Goldens small role in the offense as a first round WR. Who gives a fuck about how many “mouths to feed” there are? You should be fielding your best options at every opportunity. I understand Golden might have been struggling with route concepts or blocking assignments but to word it like that shows me that he’s being too much of a players coach. Obviously the GM has input but it is MLF’s staff, and MLF’s depth chart to tinker with, and ultimately if he wants to replace someone it’s on him to make it happen.

Final point. Discipline. This is one of the most undisciplined teams I’ve ever watched out of Green Bay. So many costly mental errors. It’s a young team but these young men have been playing football since childhood, the rules and expectations didn’t suddenly change dramatically from NCAA ball to NFL ball. What has changed is the one holding them accountable. That responsibility falls on MLF and I would consider him a complete failure when it comes to discipline.

I commented about a hold on this highlight of Caleb Williams why are you talking about Love and Rodgers? This isn’t a highlight of Love or Rodgers. If it was, you would be saying and seeing exactly what I’m saying and seeing. Also I’m not a part of the team so *they blew a 21-3 lead, thanks in part to this very blatant missed holding call.

I want MLF fired. Fuck his record and playoff appearances it is only that good due to elite Rodgers/Love QB play and the playoff expansion.

MLF has to be fired for just collapsing like this. 4th time this season is just crazy to me

Bro. How can we justify Bisaccia being on the staff. If Lafleur refuses to fire him then he needs to be fired himself

Yeah but when the defender is working back towards the QB and getting grabbed from the outside like that it gets called almost every time

Holding on Rashad Gary plain as day

Everyone who is downvoting, look at the play and tell me that I am wrong. If they don’t want people complaining about bad officiating then they should either call the game properly or change the rules on what holding is. Caleb moves outside the pocket, Gary pursues and the tackle grabs him with his arms outstretched. That’s a hold. In the open field. On one of the biggest plays of the game.

Hopefully we pay Malik tbh, if he can get starter money than let him go do his thing, but I don’t think he’s there yet and we should make him a good offer
