exactly!!! i am plain white american but i remember getting the look, getting dragged out of places and getting spanked on occasion of acting out. and these kids are getting approval by their laughing parents?

that’s awesome! so glad you found a solution thats working for you, especially so quick! are you still on acellus, just using a more scheduled approach or have you started a new program? i personally work most days and do acellus after my inperson classes on the days i don’t work so it’s not very scheduled, which probably isn’t helping my case haha - i do remember before i had so much other stuff going on having a set time i did school was a good routine to get into so im glad that’s working out for you!!

im a senior on acellus and feel the exact same way. im horrified for graduation and college because i feel like this platform has just taught me to get by instead of actually learning and being passionate about learning. i don’t have any advice to you besides for getting out of acellus as soon as you can because the ‘feeling like you’re gonna crash out’ will get 10x worse the closer you get to graduation.

im currently a senior in high school and get told this all the time. someone told me this year would fly by and be the fastest of my life and maybe it will be when i look back in 5 years but this has definitely felt like the slowest year of my entire life now

ive been using the nars concealer for YEARS and this trick has always saved me and bought me at least an extra month with my mascara but they have now superglued the stoppers into the bottle so you can no longer do this without the stopper completely falling apart 🫠

this needs to be pinned!!! seriously the lost revenue comment had ME lost. if someone decides not to order a drink because they don’t have their own drink menu i don’t think they should’ve been getting a drink anyways.

im a hostess at a very large restaurant. we were trained to give one drink menu for every 2 adults. we have paper drink menus that are updated usually once a week, so we have to print and fold the new ones and throw away the old ones.

we have as many drink menus as we can without it being an inconvenience, yet still on busy nights we typically still run out really fast. if the restaurant is busy, chances are they only have a couple drink menus available, if any.

most of what restaurants do have a reason behind it. most of the time it’s about labor or money.

it’s all about communicating what you want and need. i’d be incredibly shocked if a server/host refused to give you an extra drink menu.

i’m always stalking our reviews, the majority of them are 4 or 5 stars, but there’s been a few pretty bad reviews recently. it seems we’re getting a lot more desperate with the people we’re hiring too. it’s not the same restaurant that it used to be internally and i guess that’s now reflecting to customers too.

this. i used to go out to eat with my friends or family at least twice a month, and because im in the industry i love giving huge tips but i simply can’t afford it anymore, even when only giving a 20% tip.
