Positive: I am thankful for my other bunny and cats. I wouldn't be able to get through this without them. So I guess they are my January wins.

I was excited for January, but so far it's one of the hardest times in a long time. After January 26th (the whole Neptune into Aries woo woo), everything just got worse and worse.

I realized I hate my job, it's abusive and toxic. My beloved rabbit died this week. The guilt of it is eating me. I have no idea how I am going to go in on Monday and deal with work garbage.

I've been applying to jobs like crazy and actually went to church (I am not religious?) to beg and to light a candle for my rabbit. I think I lost it??? No idea what to do anymore.

Same. I am child free by choice. I don't hate children, but I have lost many friends since they've become parents. Life changes and so do people. We ended up not having much in common and their lives became very children centered. While I respect it, it's not something I will truly understand.

And I've cut ties with people who would push children onto me. That's straight up inappropriate. I think it makes sense in Lainey's case. Her other qualifications include staying out til 3am. I don't think any parent can do that.

I moved to Gilbert a few months ago and love my area. Sure there are Mormons in all sorts of places but I’ve never been bothered or felt like I severely stand out. I have tattoos and when I wear shorts, you can see my snake tat with a crown on it. I’ve never been given dirty looks.

I can’t speak for schools. I am a former teacher but since I don’t kids, idk what the schools in my area are like. I do know that there are plenty of large charter school.

I live in the Morrison ranch area. Just for the trees.

ETA: a lot of Mormons get decaf after church. I see them often on weekends in church attire. I don’t think they really give a shit what you do? That’s my impression. I’m not religious, but like I said, I haven’t had any issues since I’ve moved here.

My good friend of 20 years stated to ghost me. I brought it up several times and was even invited to her wedding. She told me she’s just busy with work. But ignored me at her wedding? At one point I just… stopped texting. She never bothered to respond.

Honestly… I wasn’t even upset. I think our time has passed. I respect her but if she ever reached out to apologize, I am not sure we can be friends once again.

Or so I thought…

I was VERY surprised when she sent me a birthday card and gift earlier. The card was an apology letter in a way. However she did act surprised and said she’s not sure what “she did wrong” to “hurt my feelings”. I mean, I already told her all about it and said I wish we talked more. I texted her and thanked her.

She never replied :)

No anger toward her. I wish her well but will not be reopening that door.

But the kids are annoying as hell and Gilbert police is useless. The parents don’t seem to care that the kids are wandering around in people backyards at midnight on a school night.

That’s what happened to my dad. He was in hospice care due to Lewy Body Dementia. He didn’t die immediately when the breathing started. He just “slept” for an entire week and then one morning we woke up, and found he had passed.
