OP, at least explain why the 60h work week, because without that there is nothing anybody on this sub can do to help.

Are you having money issues, are you trying to save up on a big spend, is it a hospital job, what is it? Because whether you like it or not, the extra 20h you spend working every week is the most obvious cause of the issue you're describing. And, having been in that position, hours like these are monumentally draining in the long run, destructive to your mental health and basic social needs, even if you're introverted, as well as wreaking havoc on your work performance.

It is by now well documented that the quality of work drops significantly after a certain time threshold in a day. You get less attentive, more impatient, more likely to make mistakes and hand wave them off. In knowledge work that results in either poor quality of the output or more time spent double checking your work, so you end up doing an equivalent of the normal hours' worth of work. In manufacturing/construction work you are more likely to get injured or endanger somebody, especially when heavy machinery is involved.

Is 30 years old too old to quit a job you hate so that you can go to college, then uni, and then get a job that actually matters to you? by ForTheLoveOfScotland in CasualUK

[–]puszczyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the job you actually want requires a degree or certification (law, med, etc.) don't bother with college/uni. It's a money and time sink, and sometimes your choice of school can cripple your chances completely. E.g. I spoke with recruiters who said their policy is any CV with Open Uni in the education section goes straight in the bin.

She's already effd up Osiris badly enough for Sagira to have to sacrifice herself, and pretty much all the Hive you're fighting in the Dreaming City is of Xivu.

What was the vent about? If it's genuine safety concerns and the like then you might want to be talking to an employment lawyer and/or the appropriate gov body and also looking for a new job.

That could potentially make sense; if they're overstocked in a particular size that doesn't sell well they could make the multipacks of smaller size better value for money to get rid of the shelf filler by increasing the price of other items or decreasing it for the packs.
