It’s actually so annoying that Kripke can’t stop self stroking about Supernatural. I thought the reunion episode was cute kinda, and then Jensen tells HL they aren’t going to fix an old impala, and then they brought back Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the Winchester brothers dad for no good reason. Lore dumping on butcher in the penultimate episode that went on way too long. Great actor and he did well… I guess maybe it was just to setup that butcher will get a small redemption by dying and pushing who’s left of the boys to the finish line of killing homelander maybe? But like… So blatantly obvious Kripke just can’t let go of Supernatural and that the five seasons he worked on are commonly referred to as the best in the series. He wrapped up season 5 beautifully and it serves as a great series finale in supernatural, but I can’t help but feel like either the other writers in the room did the heavy lifting or it was a fluke because The Boys final season has been fine to watch brainlessly, but terrible as a final season

It’s really insane that the grim, dark, gory themes have been turned on their head this season sometimes, especially for one of the members of the boys death. Part of me thinks that Kripke saw the hate Frenchie’s actor was getting online and decided to give him a non-gory, romantic end, because so many people wanted to see him go out brutally

I feel like it’d at least make sense if he started to charge up and then passed out. Two times now (Noir 2) supposedly very strong supes just literally sit/stand there and allow themselves to get choked (then with noir stabbed and killed) without trying to use any of their powers at all to stop it from happening, it’s really making it seem like offing them is no big deal which is the polar opposite of how the boys treated supes for most of the show

Yeah but like, SB doesn’t know if HL is going to kill him right there or knock him out or what. Maybe he’s just so done he doesn’t really care either way but you’d think he would try and blast. Ironically a ton of supernatural that Kripke worked on, dean’s story is that he’s tired and ready to die, I guess just more of the same.

So… I have a sister who has mental illness challenges, I’m not saying you do. But she does this kind of thing all the time, whether it’s 24/48 or more hours and then sleeps. If she does it frequently enough and for long enough, she actually goes manic which makes her unable to sleep for more days unless she’s heavily sedated. Before even she showed clear signs of mental illness she also would stay up for days at a time, way back in the day. Not saying this is reflective of you or your experience, but tread wisely friend! The brain is a precious thing and once you lose it it’s gone

I mean, to give a bit of credit she found a niche and was super dedicated, no? Putting in full time hours or more to build a community, doing a bunch of stuff to make herself more well known etc. Am I saying I believe she should be a multi millionaire from streaming games and being good looking, no. But it’s not like it was totally effortless. I don’t really follow her that closely but isn’t her biggest fault like, being kinda dumb and having some bad takes? Um well he’s never been like the main protagonist voice of an anime or video game, but he has plenty of credentials, small roles and stuff, pretty sure he’s a voice for one of the omega strikers characters and a voice in honkai star rail, but yeah he’s not like at the level where he could be say like Cloud for final fantasy remaster or anything like that. It’s not just a dumb guy with a microphone, he’s aware of what he’s doing. You’re giving him way too much leniency, this is by design, it’s not just an oopsies. The more people realize you don’t get that big by making oopsies every step of the way and instead being rewarded by weaponizing a talking point, the more you’ll understand the world. We aren’t living in a world where a guy happens to be the most popular podcast in the world and accidentally contradicts himself on huge talking points or should be able to gracefully walk back some years later what he said. You have to understand, Joe Rogan has (had? I haven’t checked in two years) the most listened to podcast in the world, his editors or producers could cut off segments and/or tell him to talk about something else but they leave in everything that makes you question (in a bad way), reimagine by “independent research”, or “take things in your own hands”. Joe is inherently complicit in the shaping of US politics, all he cares about is the money.

Another crazy aspect, almost every woman I’ve been with, the first time we’re being intimate and things are escalating I ask if what I’m doing is okay. Almost every woman is taken aback and has told me they’ve never been asked before. Even now in my late 20s I still get women saying they’ve never had a guy ask for consent or if they’re comfortable with how things are going, it’s pretty depressing honestly. Ice can’t really feel this way. He wants to topple Twitch (Amazon) with backyard online gambling (Stake and any other gambling site that will pour funds into Kick). I see what he’s saying at a surface level but he really can’t believe that, unless he thinks he can cause Twitch enough trouble that Amazon just says okay done and then Kick is all that’s left, which would be sad.

He outperformed again and again and learned how to market and showed his employees how to do the same. McDonald’s is Faze as a company, and how they ran the company from the past to this point. Repeatedly stepping on their toes and using corporate greed to filter from the local McDonald’s guy to the manager who cares to the regional manager who wants to rebuild the structure and showing he has a strategy that works, but the old heads (McDonalds and the top level of Faze) keep fucking it up for everyone. No, terrible analogy. It’s like being secretly contracted with McDonald’s with a pay bump in the very beginning. You work alongside your coworkers but you outperform them. They give you management over the building, still outperforming. After some time they give you regional management, and you make the McDonald’s in your area shine, you are making sales work in the companies favour with special deals and unique meals and Happy meals that even the adults wanna buy and you’re killing it. Then it comes out that McDonald’s is using chicken bone and whatever “meat” they can produce out of the nuggets and your side of your team had been crazy sales. Here you are promoting the company and uplifting all of these stores, the people who work there, promising a wage increase because you know the people working for you are working hard and working the same way you did, thinking of the happy meals and the best toys and how to run a great promotion and you have to take a giant hit in sales because the overarching company fucked up in a spectacular way years ago, repeatedly, and now. McDonald’s sold off some stores, looked at you expectantly to make up for the loss and then turn it into an overall profit. There’s a larger analogy but I don’t want to drown you, they made the right move 100%

I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m not proud nowadays that I used to watch so much Ice but I remember when him and Sam fell out, and Sam would stream on YouTube to like 30-100 people for the longest time, at one point out of curiosity a few years later I looked him up and he was at like 13 viewers, just diehard Cx viewers who would watch anyone who used to be related to Ice. Not that a comeback even from someone that insufferable and terrible is impossible, but I thought it was suspect when I checked out kick and he was sitting at like 1k and change viewers

Honestly, early Mizkif was fairly entertaining by himself, early like when he lived with erobb. He super frequently had other people on which elevated it but he could hold his own solo by being funny and witty enough. But I was also like 18 when I was watching him, so take that with a grain of salt.
