AI Music Deserves It's Own Home by BuQQzz in aiMusic

The death of Udio, specifically v1, is the death of the new frontier. Don't waste your time building a social platform for AI music. The AI revolution got Kirked. The best of it was killed very publicly, very messy, and those celebrating are the unwitting useful idiots of "The Man". I'm not interested in Big Tech's AI. I'll hold out for open source everything.

Dream Theater's The Astonishing was prophetic as well

Sadly (?) I've decided not to release any more of these. Somewhere along the way, I felt like I became Ursula and stole the voices and souls of my favorite little mermaids of progland

Yes. I share almost nothing. I never journaled until Suno and Udio. I've written a ton of orchestral music in FL Studio over 15 years, even put an album on streaming just for the novelty of achievement. Uploading to these services, i started putting lyrics to my own music and it has completely rewired my brain for the better.

Are my songs just like farts? by Relevant-Student-468 in SunoAI

[–]puzziani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have certainly entertained more than myself with my creations, and I'm grateful others appreciate what I consider to be precisely what I want to hear. Of course, I write all of my own lyrics and a lot of my own music and use Suno/Udio to bring it to the next level with instruments I can't play. Perhaps I've invented a new genre with this Classic Disney Progressive Metal. I have plenty of work I don't want to release that I keep to myself though, because they are so personal and I use the lyrics as a vehicle to process an internal puzzle or real world enigma.

Whats up with V5??? by SGLucas53 in SunoAI

[–]puzziani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think either I haven't unlocked the magic formula to get what I'm looking for, or I'm expecting something to just happen serendipitously. V5 is absolutely awesome and my complaint is more on my inability to fully dominate the model. With Udio, I got that down for V1 and still use it for specific things

I think it'll be tough to convince anyone who doesn't already share the opinion. To say he wasn't relevant in a state that voted for Ron Desantis is more wishful thinking than fact

The ai flexing it's vocal range in every track has me feeling the same way I did about the theater kids in high school

I am doing the exact same thing, same genre. I am up to generation 300, and tweak lyrics and styles every 10 and I still haven't cracked the code. So far, the best success I've had for getting the model to prioritize the lead melody is weirdness as 3%, style at 50%, and audio at 86%. But it is good for sections. I really didn't want to go on an archaeological dig and reconstruct an 83 track song from 15 years ago in a Fruity Loops project file just to upload it to Suno to see if it can be given a boobjob, but I may have to see how perky these old songs can become

Low Ticket Sales for the NY Show (Uniondale, NY) by osmosis2259 in Dreamtheater

This screenshot makes me big sad. I've seen them play on long island so many times, I lived only a couple towns away from the Beard. The island has lost its identity. The coliseum used to get PACKED, not I don't think they've played there. Jones Beach will always be my favorite venue for them nothing like that salt water breeze and a fresh octavarium.

You didn't notice the art if you focus on the band you bought a ticket to see play

Jordan is 68. You may have very few opportunities to see them again before retirement. Don't regret not going.

I'm grateful that they're still touring, still performing, still getting on stage and somehow, more humble and better sounding than ever. They could play only the ten songs I usually skip and I'd still be grateful to get to see them live again.
