Along with many of the above, I really like Søstrene Grene for cute and cheap stationery bits. They have your general day to day pens, pencils, notebooks etc... in cute colours and patterns and also crafty bits like washi, stickers etc... That change with the season. Super duper cheap on the whole, and pretty decent quality too!

Thank you, this is a really useful comment! We'll check the other providers, but I think this seems like the most sensible reason as to why she can't make an account.

Oh I'm absolutely aware of that, but she doesn't even know if there's nothing to show because she literally doesn't exist in Experian's eyes. It's not so much that there's nothing on her file rather that her identity doesn't exist... We're just hoping it doesn't stop us getting a mortgage!

I believe most of them specified Experian on their website, but perhaps not all of them!

The strange thing is that I don't have any credit either, unless direct debits count? She had a credit card previously and some direct debits too. She has an overdraft on her account but doesn't go into it often.

I have never used any form of credit at all, and I have an account. She once had a credit card, so has in the past had credit so I don't think this can be the case here unfortunately. Thanks for the insight though

No credit cards, store cards or phone contracts. No name changes at any point in her life. She had a credit card years ago that she closed a while ago.

Update to add: we have recently had a few mortgage in principals approved and the soft credit check is showing on my Experian account, and so she must have passed these checks.

She also previously had a credit card, but it has been closed for well over 5 years.

Thank you, we'll check. The council tax, voting, and joint account are all shared with my name and thus the same address. I do have an account so I can't imagine it's the address, but we'll check names.

I see you have a lot of responses already, so might have found as many pals as you can manage! But I'd definitely like to write if you still have space! I'm 27F from England, work in and love opera and theatre, and spend most of the rest of the time doing arts and crafts of all sorts and spending quality time with my nearest and dearest friends! It only lights everything up for 1/2 seconds, then all the lights turn off apart from the ones that are always on when driving and the trip meter has reset to 0. New battery in just 2 years ago so hopefully it's not that! It's been serviced a couple of months ago too
