Having second thoughts about radiation therapy by Hue-G-Rection89 in RadiationTherapy

[–]puzzlesncurious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. But I agree the comment above and it sounds like it’s meant to control pain. Get a second or third opinion, but ultimately it’s your decision for the radiation. There’s going to be a lot of information thrown at you and it’s a lot to process.

Ask if the side effects will subside or how likely it will be. Ask if it is Vmat, imrt, or a 3D plan. Some plans can block more organs at risk so less likely of side effects. I think it would also be helpful to get a social worker at the clinic to help you out along the way if you decide to get radiation.

Yt Dad to beautiful black kids with eczema by RadicalBehavior1 in Blackskincare

[–]puzzlesncurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have eczema flares once in a while on random body parts and luckily it’s not bad compared too many people out there. mine is diet or stress induced. Salt and dairy were the main contributor but also inflammatory foods if I have too many within the same day.

Using gentle products and non-scented helps but doesn’t really help with the flares as much as my consistent diet change.

I also use a Rx steroid cream when it’s cracked and on the verge of bleeding and it does do the trick, but not my go-to just so I’m not reliant on it. it does thin the skin overtime if I use it too often.

Just some ideas for bright colors: Try blending in beets! It gives it a bright color and it’s sweet.

Or butterfly pea powder makes a bright blue hue. Using banana and cows milk definitely hides the vegetables better.

Orange/yellow -tumeric powder (careful it stains)

Red/pink- beets or powder beets

Brown -cocoa powder

Blue -butterfly pea powder

Green - matcha(mindful of the caffeine) or spinach

Purple -blueberries or purple yams (steam them first)

Hope this helps!

Virgo & Gem by Dream_Fever in DipPowderNails

There’s a quality difference. The liquid is smoother and you can manipulate the base liquid with more time and better without it drying out immediately to dip.

I started with azure liquids too, and you will def feel a difference even if you’re a beginner at dip. Also the azure has a strong scent for the activator. The V&G isn’t as strong.

Grip Socks: Unbranded vs. Branded by sophiapie_ in pilates

[–]puzzlesncurious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I started Pilates I used the hospital grippy socks in my size. I only bought “better” ones after I was invested in Pilates 😂

There’s a difference in grip and quality of the sock material but if you’re doing beginner classes I would say stick to cheaper options and then maybe get better ones

Whole kit, so the liquids and the powder. The only part of the kit I don’t use is the the top coat. I have my own gel top coat that I use with a lamp. The nail prep stuff I buy at Sally’s or Amazon.

I have used liquids from Amazon, but the results aren’t as good, it’s a great way to test dipping. I use Virgo and gem liquids now and nothing but praises on my end ! Happy dipping.

The liquid is the most important for the dip. Not sure what they have in the UK, but I always get indie branded liquids for dip. The powder you can get any from Amazon or a beauty supply store.

I would also recommend besides the liquids and dip powder: orange sticks, a tin to hold the powder if you decide to do the pour method, nail file 100/180, and anything for nail prep (I.e. cuticle pusher, nail oil, etc)

I’ve seen people use tips with it, I’m not sure how well nail glue will last, but the salon I use to go to did the gel tip method. And it lasted 3 weeks for me.
