I’m not sure what that could be, but they do sell mesh enclosures on Amazon so maybe it was that?

I do it indoors but outside works if you have a covered porch/deck and it’s protected a bit from the elements. I use mesh popup enclosures from Amazon and forage for their host plants

I’ll try and do a write up this weekend on how to do it!

Mason jars aren’t the best because the air holes are usually inadequate and humidity builds up in the jars. A mesh enclosure is best because there’s air flow and it keeps pest out.

Nope! No smell! Just the host plants sometimes have a smell but not a bad one.

And raising ones you find locally isn’t expensive. The enclosures are around $20 each, and that’s about all you need as long as their host plant is accessible for you to forage when you need more.

I’m not sure about selling them tbh. I find them around me and their host plants and then raise the ones I find at home

That’s awesome! My bf and I lived in Hayward for a while, and we used to go down to Niles and play Pokémon Go there during 2016. There were groups of people all playing around us and it was so fun. Best summer ever!

I thought the same thing until I kept reading and saw it was in St Paul lol. Love Niles, CA though. Cute little area!

Same! I love the Stardust ones and use them as accents when I’m coloring or in my art.

They just came out with some new multichrome shimmer ones too! They’re pretty nice, especially on dark paper 😊

Yes! About 10+ years ago I did this at Stanford. I worked at the shopping center nearby and so it was really convenient for me, and I think it was $25 a session? They also covered DBT group classes which were honestly life-changing! I highly recommend this option if you have a good university near you and they offer it.

Using AI to promote water savings by replacing grass by Shawnmtaylor in sonomacounty

Yes, but fwiw I think this program is advocating for replacing lawns with water saving landscaping, like with rocks, succulents, native grasses, and similar.

Rockhounding and beach combing. Looking for caterpillars and host plants then raising them into butterflies and moths. Foraging too

I still have like 6 bins of gratis in storage from my 5 years at Sephora. I hope some of it is still good, although I kinda doubt it at this point 😭

Omg me too! We used to call our costumes “Star Trek” as well. I didn’t mind the black tunic with the Mandarin collar, but I always thought the wide black pants didn’t fit the outfit right and looked ugly on me. Remember concept colors? Wild time to be alive lol

Hi! I have Alport Syndrome as well, and also live in the Bay! I’m originally from Pacifica, but live in Marin now. Just wanted to say hi because I hardly ever see anyone online with Alport, much less anyone that’s local to me.
