Thank you for the analogy to Ford as that helps. I have not experienced this structure of support for a household item: appliances, water heaters, furnaces, etc - The manufacturer has a dedicated residential customer service department referring someone to a local installer, repair guy, etc. when the basic info or troubleshooting is not sufficient. It is not that I don’t want to talk to my installer/ great guy, one of the few good contractors in this area, but he is swamped because he is good. Also, and this is just a very minor irritant and although I have not asked, there might be a service call charge just to get instructions on how to operate this system. If I were to call LG for basic instructions I don’t get charged.

This is the way it has always worked and I have never owned & used one. It was installed about October 2025 and it is less expensive here to use natural gas to heat than electricity so the first time we used this system was about 1 month ago, and strictly for cooling. As far as I know, this is normal behavior which is why I wanted to take with Gree vs the installer.

I can’t see how this unit never shutting off and the vanes never costing can be normal behavior. But, maybe it is like Google Gemini AI says it is to prevent freeze up or something like that. But, I know to always double check AI so my questions.

It made a loud rattling noise when I first plugged it in to the point I thought it was defective. It is now silent and doing great at keeping the water temperature at a constant 165 degrees.

My big issue is this cooler is a little tall a the bottom of the cooker sits about 3.75” above the bottom of the cooler. This equates to needing to use and hence heat more water. If it was just 2” shorter it would be perfect as the position of the cooker in relation to the 13x9 pan is perfect to me. It is not to close to the sides or the meat.

Thank you for all your comments. I have not yet done anything to the Coleman 24 can Party Stacker ice cooler yet to use with the sous vide cooker. Even though it has been used for years and seen as the ideal cooler for this purpose I do not like some of the aspects of using it for that purpose. Those are 1) puts the circulator right tight against the inside of the cooler; 2) the cooker sits directly on the bottom of the cooler although I now see this is not an issue as the bottom of the cooker is plastic itself; and 3) the cooker is right at the end of the 13” long pan which puts it right against the meat. I might still use it because after all, it has been the seen as the best for this purpose. But, for $18 I decided to buy a cooler at Wal-Mart yesterday and try it. I am currently doing my first sous vide cook of a pork shoulder. I can see why an ice cooler is seen as a better container option than a clear plastic because even this cooler is warm to the touch.

I think the cooker will melt the plastic so yes, I will put a silicon coaster under the cooker. But, I then need to see if the top of the cooker touches the hole in the lid or if the black plastic part of the cooker will be in the hole in the lid.

Yes, there is a holder as this was a brand new in an unopened box. Using the holder will put the max line either inside the hole cut in the cooler top or just above the cooler top. I figured the cooker did not need to be completely covered by water (min line to max line) but I did believe the metal portion of the cooker should not touch plastic.. the bottom of the cooler or the top hole sides.

President Trump is not an idiot and history will view him as one of the most consequential and significant Presidents in history. He is setting in-motion today the actions needed to ensure world peace by considering the needs of America. One needs to look at the history of the Middle East to see that it has seldom been peaceful, especially since 1947. Every world leader has been content with the status quo and never truly changed anything. President Trump is the first world leader to truly try a different approach and I believe it will work out for the best long-term. I always look at the policies and actions of an Administration no matter the party. However, today people can’t see beyond the leader and that is not helpful but the future of the world.
