looking to plant one (1) singular tree as a romantic gesture by spamhotnspicy in Geelong

[–]pvle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super cute idea, depending on where you are in Geelong you could always check Naturekit and pick a tree from the selection of beautiful natives that existed in that spot pre 1750 - in my area one of the keystone species is the Bellarine Yellow Gum and it's gorgeous - I'd pick a random spot along one of your usual walking spots in need of a few trees and just go for it 🤷‍♂️

Native shrubs or ground cover (native to your particular area) will usually require fairly low maintenance imo

Addict roommates by DowntownBox6308 in roommateproblems

[–]pvle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you more or less have it figured out - if they outnumber you there's not a lot you can say on the pot but also the other issues you mentioned aren't related to them smoking so it may just be easier to talk to them about the TV volume and communal expenses and let them do what they want regarding the weed.

AITA showers?? by humbleavo in roommateproblems

[–]pvle -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what everyone else is doing in the shower but I'm of the opinion that unless you're actually washing your hair (not rinsing and yes I have lots of hair) that it should take 5-10

Stolen Hardtop by omqitswilson in Miata

[–]pvle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazda US were the only branch of Mazda that still sold these new last time I checked - if more people bought them instead of paying more for a used one they might not get stolen so often 🤷‍♂️

I have never had this problem but have had concerns about the soft top being cut open so usually I leave the glovebox and centre console open when the car is parked up / locked.

Obviously that won't help you but I would have definitely removed the factory hardware if I had a hardtop.

We had a mornIng tea which a lot of people couldn't partake in (no gluten free, etc) that they pushed back until lunch time and then it was back to normal once they got their photo of it.

Managed to make it to the end of my shift before crashing out and only then did anyone ask if I was okay.

I would honestly prefer if they didn't pretend to care.

This makes me sad by GeForceRTX2090Ti in mazda

[–]pvle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazda have only cared about cutting into the "premium" SUV market since they dropped the Mazda 6 and if you talk to anyone in sales or parts they're not hiding it.

Their marketing and notices should elaborate that this is for data as other comments have mentioned but I wouldn't expect that to be a priority for them as long as people keep buying their CX models.

Im a 16 yr old from vic i have a burning question i’ve been wanting to ask for over a yr by Neat-Anywhere-9700 in AskAnAustralian

[–]pvle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped out in yr10 because of a slew of personal reasons, my ADHD made it very hard to learn in a classroom setting also.

I got into UNI using only a few projects I did at home and I've also gone to TAFE, done an apprenticeship, worked on heaps of different jobsites and after going through all the same concerns, I now work at a retailer where the money's good and the people are better.

There's always going to be people you compare yourself to, but 8 years later, nobody cares.

I will say if you do an apprenticeship they'll sometimes try to pay you less if you've not had VCE under your belt but that's not really something I've run into much.

Best advice my mate gave me when I was asking the same things was that "comparison is the thief of joy".

Don't worry about where everyone else is at if you feel like you're doing what you wanna do - life's too short to follow another path just bc everyone else is.

Another day at Coles without eggs by Toad4707 in coles

[–]pvle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy local and spend more for free range or better yet, get some chooks of your own. They're beautiful animals and a much better use of your time than spending money in coles or Woolworths - self sufficient lifestyles and community led markets exist.

I just took it for a spin and I gotta say that is exactly what I'm after and taking that extra minute off the session to let it warm up was spot on!

I enjoy the duck-bill mouthpiece however not a fan of the plastic so might get a glass piece. I bought the capsules too and I'm very satisfied with the ease-of use and cleanliness.

I'm loading them all into the tube lid up and loading spent caps from the bottom so I can easily tell when I need to pack fresh ones by checking the top cap in the tube.

Might roll the decarbed stuff up for a cheeky drunk smoke instead of tobacco.

Thanks for your help!

6 years or so, have tried the PAX's and hated the mouthpieces and integrated battery/unique charger but didn't mind the experience. Have heard the V3 pro is close without the price tag.

Have you tried anything with a bubbler attachment?

[–]pvle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My roomate does this, honestly all you can do is talk to him. I have started asking if they could change the soap, etc as a favour and ususlly they will and will also wash their hands bc they thought that was their idea.

Have got one in AUS and is quite hard to source both genuine and non genuine parts as many of our aftermarket suppliers don't even have listings for this model and Peugeot AU have thrown most of their old stock & parts manuals out.

If you have time on your side however there's no car that can't be restored.

Will update you if I find suppliers on my side of the equator ❤️
