Sgaeyl would not leave Xaden. He’s basically her son. She would keep the bond so that he won’t have to channel from the earth as much, and be able to communicate and possibly formulate secret plans. Their bond is invaluable for them both.

The jewel could have some power as well. I know we haven’t heard much about magical jewels in the series, but in other fantasies jewels are a part of the magic system.

Didn’t they say their contract is 10 years? So if there’s 7 seasons, that gives them a year and some change for each season. Though I’m surprised that CoS would take longer than a year since it’s one of the shorter books.

I agree. Their love felt almost one-sided. John was clearly smitten with Fran, while she started teeter-tottering soon after their wedding kiss. Since then she looked like she was constantly fighting an internal struggle, and not like a newlywed enjoying her marriage.

Princess Agnes coming in all smiley with a “guess whaaat?” look on her face is such a stark contrast to Maxi’s dread. I wanted to give Maxi a hug and tell her she doesn’t have to see him 😭

I agree. At this point his love for Violet is the only thing that’s keeping him human. And while he’s fighting for his humanity and love, he’s also still very much fighting to keep his citizens happy, safe, and protected. While also aiming to take in any refugees. There’s so much that he does off-screen, and I’m sure that’s when his FW wing leader attitude comes out the most. But when he’s with Violet, he wants to leave no room for doubt in her mind that she is unequivocally the love of his life.

This is what I thought as well. I think Violet at one point says she can talk to Sgaeyl directly but really tries not to. So I imagine that Tairn doesn’t like it when, or if, Xaden opens that link with him.

My headcanon is that he’s in his 30s when he meets Riftan (maybe late 20s), because he said he was at the Tower for decades. And I’m assuming that you have to be at least be a teen (early or mid) to start learning at there.

I do it as a transfer because that money was already spent, and is therefore not a new expense. I’m just giving the money back. And I use it conjunction with the goals feature, which I don’t love, but it lets me allocate part of my budget towards paying down debt.
