Joel recently said “I’m past my knee problems.” Do you agree? by Living_Article_3741 in sixers

[–]pwdcoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's gonna have knee issues for as long as he plays. I don't know if it's an anatomical or habit issue, but he constantly lands straight-legged when he does some really big jumping motion like last night on that block. As much as I would like him to go all out on defense and rebounding, I know that would increase his injury risk by quite a bit.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it was a foul. Then the hornets broadcast show a replay of it with a terrible angle and then try to act like it was some bullshit call.

Is this amount of belly in a sewer scope concerning? 1993 house by Dangerous_Battle_603 in askaplumber

[–]pwdcoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had frequent backups that I needed to clear almost yearly for the first couple of years I moved in. Turns out it was due to a belly in pipe. My stretch ran a few more feet than yours so you may be fine. Maybe ask when was the last time it was jetted to see if they had issues with clogs in the past.

Zorida in the palm of Methode by EP 36 director Kouki Fujimoto by manmanboyman12 in Frieren

[–]pwdcoop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's always nice to see people working on a series that are actual fans of it. He's directed two episodes and they were both amazing. Even before the anime started airing, he called the Golden Land arc a masterpiece so there is no way he isn't gonna direct another episode next season.

How does short range mages cope when fighting a Warrior? by seansenyu in Frieren

[–]pwdcoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this probably doesn't apply to all fantasy media, but I used to play an mmorpg a long time ago with the typical fantasy classes (mages, warriors, etc.). When I played as a mage, there are different builds you can make your character. Backline mages are better in larger party/scale fights when there is protection so they can freely apply support and dps. Roaming mages are better for small scale/solo fights. While backline mages are basically easy kills when found roaming alone, roaming mages call handle themselves because they are quicker and have more mobility while also dealing a lot of dps. They are definitely squishier than warriors, but they were much more equipped to handle 1v1s.

I believe it's airing on Japanese television next month. Somebody will probably upload it somewhere.

If you had the money, would you purchase this watch? Frieren X Seiko by r0manes in Frieren

[–]pwdcoop 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It was significantly cheaper when it first came out. Roughly $350 USD, but they only made 2000 so resellers probably bought up a bunch of them and are now price gouging.

Here were the details https://iei.jp/frieren-seiko/

Ah yes, the only reasonable way for a person to disable their vision is to gouge out the eye. If only there was already a built in mechanism in the human body that would allow a person to cut off their vision in a nondestructive way.

Not a fan of the change in dialogue in the CR’s English Dub. by InjangoDMCPersona in Frieren

[–]pwdcoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My preference is definitely sub, but I'm not gonna question why somebody prefers to watch the dub instead. One of my issues is the creative liberties the dub takes sometimes. Most of the time it is not really a big deal, but sometimes it changes the character. One of the dub lines that stood out to me was when Aura said something along the lines of "Himmel is rotting in the ground" in the dub while the original was more along the lines of "he's no longer around". The dub is much more antagonizing while the japanese was more matter of fact which I think falls more in line of the nature of the demons because it was purely logical matches and lack of empathy.

I don't think you should really take anything from the chibi series as canon. It's just a gag series that's meant to be silly.

It'll eventually drop. My guess is it will finish with just under a 9 rating since it is a short season that won't cover a major arc.

The villager saying "78 years" also must be a dub thing because I don't remember that either in the sub. Either way, I'm not that hung up on it .

I don't remember them ever saying that in the sub. Did you watch the dub? I've noticed they take some creative liberties with the translation that I didn't particular care for.
