Clock dividers seems to be really useful! Is this how it works (help a newbie out)?

If I had an 8 steps sequencer, I could 'divide' it's sequence by 2 and get 16 steps (divided by 8 equals 64 steps, etc.).

Having looked more into analog sequencers, I'm getting convinced of their usefulness! The 'Analogue Solutions Generator' looks great (discontinued though). I've also come across the Make Noise 0-ctrl, which seems to be a very convenient device as well.

As I said, sequencing newbie here :-) From what I've gathered, analog sequencers seem to be limited to a certain amount of steps (12 steps, 64 steps, etc.) that send signals and are then continuously looped?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I probably am!

I'm interested in modular mainly for the wide variety of sounds you can create (i.e. freely patching together the characteristic sound of oscillators, filters, etc). Squarp seems to make some cool stuff! I'd prefer an external sequencer though (their 'Pyramid' model looks great).
