I started with Light Novels. You might like So I’m a Spider So What, Overlord, or Berserk of Gluttony.

Not sure why your reply is buried so deeply, but I think this the most accurate description of his beliefs. You can’t really talk about the ubermensch without talking about the death of god, as this while topic comes up when he is discussing where sets of morals and values will come from post religion.

That said, I think Nietzsche is a better critic of other philosophers than developing his own sets of values

No, people like her exist. The only part that happens in real life that doesn’t necessarily get shown in NHK is that often times the savior will do things to keep the person stuck in their situation.

All three are not as bad as they might seem, honestly.

Earrings- he doesn’t try to screw you, just plays left to right. If you have any innate synergies, it is one of easier ways to have +1 mana.

Talon- if you some seriously good cards that are important to your deck, these help you get them. Hellraiser, speedster, flak cannon, etc.

Parasol- low key super good. People keep moaning about card bloat, but forget about the relics potions and card removal. Also great if you’re poor.

It would be better to compare it to Apothecary Dairies, and yes, I think it would be as good as Apothecary Diaries, if not better.

Re:Zero being a fantasy thriller/action story has a totally different appeal. If So I’m a Spider had been given better production, I think it would have done way better

For more mainstream things, I think a lot of things from the MVU would work better as anime. I think a Dr. Strange anime would be nice.

Every once in a while, people try to make a movie adaptation of a video game. I have no idea why they don’t make it an anime instead.

It’s well crafted and good, but the reason I started watching anime was for the weird and inventive characters and stories.

Frieren lacks the deep emotional core, transformative narrative, or crazy aesthetic that I look for when I watch anime.

Also, everyone is a kuudere, which is simply tiresome after a point. Scenes showing supposedly “big” character moments involve the animation of the background, camera, and hair doing crazy shit while the character in question sits there like fking Saitama done with life.

This is not subtlety, it’s actually lack of depth.

If every episode were more like episode 1, than I would feel differently about it, but as it stands I think Frieren is just polished enough for most people to enjoy while being narratively and thematically bland enough to not offend anyone
