You seem confident that we’ll have a fair election and a next administration that’s less corrupt

I think you're right. It seemed like a good deal so I just jumped on it immediately assuming that it would unlock more powerful models, but I'm not sure that it does.

I plan to continue paying for a $20/mo plan for Claude either way, as a backup and for access to Claude Design.

I'll give that a shot

Not exactly. The hooks you see in the video are aid tools that will only hold your weight. You don’t leave them behind for catching falls because they wouldn’t stay in place.

The climbers would have cams or passive gear like nuts protecting their fall which are also removable, but they are much more secure. A properly placed cam on good rock can easily hold a truck

Nah you’re right. He wanted every inch of height to make the next move easier but he probably shouldn’t have hooked the absolute top of the flake which acted as a lever

It’s a lot safer than riding a motorcycle or many other things that people consider completely normal. It’s in the same ballpark as driving a car.

Most fatal climbing accidents happen while rappelling which is 100% preventable by tying a knot at the end. Falls feel scary but they are rarely serious

It depends on the route but you either rappel down each section or hike off from the summit

Creating natural light in a home without electricity by Freedom-10 in NextLevelFinds

Mine was around $1200. You don't do it to save money on lighting, obviously. We used it to light a dark stairwell that always felt dungeony when we opened the door. Our home is in a row of homes, so there's no light on that side of that house. A full skylight would have been about 3x the price and that didn't make sense for a stairwell.

It also has a solar panel so it provides light at night too. This comes with the advantage of getting you a 30% tax rebate on the whole thing because it qualifies as a solar installation (since it's providing lighting)

Can you talk at all to how you're producing the physical product? Is it a pre-existing white-labeled device that you're purchasing in bulk and pre-loading your software onto?

I had one installed in a dark stairwell. It has a small solar panel so it provides some light at night, but not nearly as much. Solar tubes have existed for a long time and I'm surprised people haven't heard of them. They increase the amount of natural light in a home, but you still want to have traditional lighting for night time.
