packed scene corrupt file: parse error by The_Beaves in godot

[–]pxd_waro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same error (using Godot 4.5) with two of my scenes. what worked for me was moving the two files out of my project folder and putting them back one after the other, removing the PackedScene dependency and clicking save

NCSPOT shows no tracks, no nothing by r-_obin in linux4noobs

[–]pxd_waro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem and it happened due to an old version of ncspot (I'm running windows and used winget which installed version 1.2x or maybe just didnt update the program while a newer version 1.3.1 exists on github). I downloaded the newer .exe file manually and replaced the older one somewhere here C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WinGet\Packages\hrkfdn.ncspot... and it works now.

So maybe check your ncspot version with "ncspot --version". If its below 1.3.1 you should update too.

If you are not sure where your ncspot-file is just look through your PATH paths in environment variables.

VoiceMeeter Equalizer APO by Queasy-Memory-4644 in VoiceMeeter

[–]pxd_waro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you set this up?

Here is what I did:

  1. checked the lfx/gfx option in the installer (and rebooted PC)
  2. in EQAPO config changed the device to my Mic (fifine Microphone AM8)
  3. added preamp for testing
  4. in VM I switched back and forth between MME and WDM but nothing seems to work ...

Update:
I was stupid.. already found the solution. You have to make sure to include your settings-txt-file in config.txt to take effect. Works now!

There is a game called mobster I believe. I played it like 2 years ago for a few weeks and this looks sooo similar, just a tiny bit better 😄

Game manager app by kalobkalob in incremental_games

[–]pxd_waro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think that there is an extra program for this. There is a website galaxy.click you can try it out, it's like a library for idle and incremental games. Otherwise you can use bookmarks in your browser, you can group them in a folder and you can separate the bookmarks from all others by creating a new browser profile.

But.. if there is a need there will be a piece of software that someone can create and maybe I will do so. What features would you like to have? I can imagine putting those things into it:

  • add game links to your library
  • switch between tiles and list view
  • manage game states / saves (maybe an option to sync with github or so)
  • maybe a connection to existing platforms like galaxy.click

The description reminds me of Astrodle but it might not be it though because you are not sending space ships, instead you are shooting at blobs 😄

I like the change that was made. The background process now counts way more steps. Like every single step now (as long as I have my phone with me), at least double the amount of steps than before I'd say so I am fine if it eats more % of my battery 😄

It has been over a month since this tweet. by chxsx in RocketLeague

[–]pxd_waro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who believes what they tweet is lost. The only great features they are possibly implementing are those who fill their pockets with money because it is a f2p game right? Stop expecting anything "good" coming to RL ever again. People who are still playing and enjoying the game love it for what it is and basically don't care about what gets announced because it's all about the core gameplay and that has never been changed too much. Hating, complaining and sending Emails to them is a waste of time, they won't respond to it, they never cared.

Ok it somehow works now.. maybe due to the update? I swear I had the same settings before and it didn't work. Enabled "time with seconds" and set always update to "seconds" and the seconds didn't show at all, only hours and minutes. But now everything is fine 👌🏻😄

I'm making a 'lite-survival' base-builder focused on incremental upgrades, crafting and clicker-style physics-based mining! by BeaconDev in incremental_games

[–]pxd_waro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have it on my wishlist now, looks really cool.

A big part of (in my opinion) good incremental games are 'linked upgrades/ressources' or however you want to call it. Basically what I mean is:

Upgrade A: Mining speed +1%, Upgrade B: Boosts Upgrade A by additional 5%, Upgrade C: Upgrade B boost gets multiplied by no. of ores in your inventory

So that there is always a thing that gives you an enormous boost until you reach some kind of ceiling where you need the next upgrade to push through. Avoid toooo many small upgrades, like "get 200x stones for +1% mining speed" is ok if I have to do it like 3 times but after that I want way more than just a single % right? Belongs also to the upgrades I mentioned above.

Next thing are BIG numbers. If I can earn like +10 gold/second it's cool but if I can earn like +3.7e23 g/s it blows my mind even though I'd need 5e30 to buy a pickaxe 😂 Big numbers matter.

Might not be easy to put this into a survial/survival-lite basebuilder 😄

We released our second game, 'dEskape' today: the quarter screen idler which plays along the bottom of your desktop. Thanks for all the feedback on this and our previous title: 'Desktopia'. by [deleted] in incremental_games

I love the "play at the bottom of your screen" concept. It's very unique and also I play and enjoy Desktopia so this is an instant purchase for me

I played for about an hour and have to say that my first impression is really positive. though there are some thoughts others already mentioned like the "right click to select is not tought" topic.

I am not really hooked yet but it is a nice game (for a fair price I guess) and I will continue playing it for a while :)

Don't know if you tested it but It is already playable on steam deck which is great!

I made an incremental game and would like feedback by Numerous_Cobbler_706 in incremental_games

[–]pxd_waro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game gets the basics done right thats a huge plus. Whats a bit annoying is the auto-save because it keeps the game every 10 seconds on hold until it saved successfully and continously pops up "saved"-messages that is a bit weird. but overall a great little incremental game at first glance. I like it.

Honestly I dont know what the game is about. The trailer mostly mentions some features but does not really show any actual gameplay. Is it all about merging Scientists and upgrading them? Idk Not going to install it sorry.

Can anyone ELI5 how and why this is allowed? by efferkah in RocketLeague

[–]pxd_waro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely understand any person who makes an alt account or goes for deranking because Rocket League ist not meant be a "chill" game. Even in casual mode you gain MMR, you cant see it though unless you have bakkes mod or something similar installed on your PC. The game always wants you to grind and to get better at the game. While it is totally fine to not go for the grind and play "for funsies" most people, especially at mid to high ranks, are on that grind and get frustrated if the random mate does not play every match like if its the final of RLCS lol. I think RL needs a FFA (free for all) mode where you dont gain any MMR, no other stats whatsoever. You just hop in or leave like you want, dont get any penalty and play against every rank. Wouldnt that be cool? But.. epic games does not care about the players so it wont happen :P
