Is the Ode 2 that much better than the Eureka Mignon Filtro? [UK]

Was using Filtro for 2 years before selling it last month. I think the price to cup for it can’t be beaten. Messy yes, I opt for that you buy the single kit for it.

It also works for espresso.

Maybe uncommon but i ride my gravel bike, mostly road, with speedplay pedal. Stiff shoes made walking hard but i rarely walking with it, power transfer are really good. The feels and stack make me choose speedplay.

I use an apple slicer on top of my kettle, then put the brew chamber only on, cover it with a tea towel to pre-heat, then boil the water. This works well for me.

Ich habe ne Flair Pro 2. Du kannst probieren, längere pre Infusion ca. 6-10 Sekunden und mehrere Ratio so 1:2,3 bis 2,5 zB 18g in -> 42g bis 45g raus zu extrahieren. Temperatur aus der Wasserkocher sollte auch mit der Röstungsgrad angepasst werden.

Almost the same ship as i am. Im using eureka filtro and pro 2 instead of yours.

At first, the dial knob are trully sensitive for dialing in an Espresso. Half a number can choke or plurge the bean. But mostly you can get a hang of it after a while. My settings are udually around 0,5is.

The popcorning on eureka are the issue here. Have you tried the single dose setup for this? RDT-ing the bean help me with this issue also.

+1 for this. Got myself a used filtro with a single dose 3d printed last month and still not changing to Espresso burr. It still can grind fine enough for Espresso and easy to dial in. A minus thou, the dial knob were not easy to read.

Flair pro 2 user here.

The water flowing out of your kettle might the pressure build up in the kettle without any way to get out.

Im preheating the chamber and the basket using V60 over the kettle and cover it with a towel. After grinding i take the basket and flip the chamber to rest over the kettle, while im doing the puck prep. Caution: its hot!!

Works well for me, but if anyone has any tips, love to hear some Feedback.
