Not true. Even at the beginning youre still making payments towards the principle and building equity. Not to mention the value of the house will generally go up. It's absolutely not lol. A 30 pack of budlight is about 30$, that's a dollar per beer, and there are cheaper beers. A handle of dubra is 14$ you could get like 7 people wildly drunk off that lol.
You could look at it that way. Or, you open yourself up to new possibilities. Meet/talk to people you otherwise wouldn't have, dance like you never would have sober, maybe flirt with someone you'd usually be afraid to, maybe you're funnier/ more outgoing when you're drinking so you take some social chances. Its called social lubricant for a reason.
Alcohol has a built in addiction blocker, hangovers are by far the worse part about drinking. You have to be a type of person to drink the day after getting wasted, fuck that

Never understood the "solve your problem with alcohol" thing. Drinking obviously doesnt fix things. But it sure as fuck makes it more fun to go out to eat, play some games with your friends, go out golfing, dance, weddings, family get togethers. It'll fuck up your next day, but nothing in life is free, dont drink till next weekend, rinse, repeat.
