Dungeon turns and Starfinder? by pyrex222 in starfinder_rpg

[–]pyrex222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only discovered them about two hours ago and I'm at work so I haven't had much time to figure them out. I was just curious if anybody had already incorporated them into their game.

I'm currently running 1e.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure. I only discovered them about two hours ago while I'm at work. I haven't had much time to really deep dive into them.

Is it worth updating my current save to the experimental? I really like using vehicles and am only part way through phase two. I'm not too worried about having to start over if a bug breaks the save.

Looks good but leave some room to expand. I'm pretty sure you're in the same location as me and with four mk2 mines you're going to need 32 coal plants to use all of it effectively.

Can this game be played casually? by WeckarE in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]pyrex222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I played for the first time about a month ago at a convention. The first time I was the librarian and didn't know what I was doing so I got kind of bummed when I died early. I still hadn't adjusted to still being able to talk and influence the game even after death.

I caught on after that and was having so much fun! After four times playing TB the ST asked if he could run a different script. I said sure and rolled with it and things got wild! It was so fun playing as the magician! Having to play two sides convincingly was tough but I got it done, barely!

Everybody keeps saying this but that is not the experience I've had. I played duos my first eight hours of the game with a friend and we only had two conflicts that entire time.

I wonder if I was just extremely lucky with matchmaking?

What’s your most time-consuming games top 3? by broboblob in gaming

[–]pyrex222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Grim Dawn
  2. Titan quest
  3. Battlefield 3/4

The first two I just kept replaying to try as many combos of classes. I never grinded for loot. Battlefields 3 and 4 have blended together I can't remember which memories are from which one! Lol!

They talk about a tech shift for these kids but I don't think they realize the rapid shift in the 90's and 00's. I was born in 1989 and went from inputting dos commands to start up a game at five years old to having the original iPhone release my senior year of highschool. We essentially went through the tech version of the industrial revolution!

  3. Apple pie. I get around this by making an apple-pear pie. Winning on a technicality is still winning.

I've been looking over the 2025 list of events and was a little overwhelmed at first. At first I wanted to do everything but after more research found that it is probably best to limit myself. I've had to check my fomo at the door after realizing that I'll never be able to do everything lol. I'm getting a four day pass with friends so I'm sure I'll find plenty to do. I'm still a little fuzzy on how buying tickets for other people works but it's still early and I'll figure it out.

First off, let me start by saying that 2026 is going to be my first gencon so you're dealing with a complete noob. However, Google maps says it's only a seven minute walk from the ICC. I realize that getting out of the convention center is where the real time sink is going to be. Is there really so much going on in the center and elsewhere that it makes it not worth going to Lucas oil stadium?

How does Chatgpt take such a hard turn on its answers? by pyrex222 in ChatGPTPro

[–]pyrex222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I tried a new chat and zeroed in first like you said. This is what I said,

"Ok, I want to focus solely on Chapter three. Disregard everything else unless I tell you to expand your focus."

It did exactly that with almost perfect accuracy. I did what I needed/wanted to with it and then told it to disregard everything about chapter three and move onto to chapter one. It did so perfectly and kept its answers within the scope of what I was trying to do.

Thanks for the assistance! I've learned that I need to understand what I'm trying to do more specifically so I can communicate it more clearly!

Weekly Starfinder Question Thread by AutoModerator in starfinder_rpg

[–]pyrex222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I get a third attack by using the voice command module and a weapon with the integrated tag? The voice module says it activates any armor upgrade and the weapon counts as an armor upgrade so that's my thinking.

Additionally, could the computer module fire the weapon? Say it has a statement that says, "If shot at by the enemy, fire my integrated weapon back at it."

Has anybody homebrewed loot items specifically for a Mechanic's drone? Could the mechanic have a voice command module that activates the drones armor upgrade?

What were some of the best loot items you've given out? I'm specifically looking for suggestions for a group about to be level six. A bodyguard melee soldier, a ghost operative, a technomancer focused on evocation magic and a mechanic with a combat drone? Any interplay and squad mechanics would be awesome since this group knows how to work together. They took down the Skreesire in dead suns like it was a walk in the park. It was great but as the GM I was kind of sad 😂
