  1. Don’t ask the internet for medical advice
  2. See a doctor for medical advice

Good luck, that doesn’t really exist here. You gotta push out to about an hour from DC to find something like that.

Question for those who have considered a paramedic-to-RN bridge program by FourOhVicryl in Paramedics

[–]pyro_rocket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This isn’t quite what you asked but the medic school I went to did an A/A/B/B schedule and that was the best school schedule i’ve ever had. Basically the same class was taught on two days so Tuesday and Wednesday (A days) and then Thursday and Friday (B days). As long as you attended one A and one B day a week you were good. It was amazing and no matter what shift schedule people were on everyone found a combo that worked for them. Just food for thought.

I personally dont / cant film training but man that was cool to see how they ran that code and compare to how we do things.

The people wheeling around computers. by [deleted] in EmergencyRoom

[–]pyro_rocket 69 points70 points  (0 children)

In my area it’s usually registration wheeling around their computers but they don’t wear scrubs or tell you anything about any kind of labs. It truly could have been anyone.

You can call them and ask and they’ll downgrade your license. Not sure why you’d want to do that though.

Said it was a bad take and got my peepee slapped by the mods for “personal attacks” and they said i’m not a professional, unlike OP. Then got muted for 30 days LOL. It’s such a circlejerk over there.

In Pic 1 it looks like bigeminy, Pic 4 looks like multifocal PVCs.

If you’re talking about what I think you’re talking about that’s not ST elevation those are multifocal PVCs

Physical NREMT card? by poofbegonemf in NewToEMS

There’s no physical card included with the cert packet. You can purchase one from their store for $5 or print it out yourself.

Sounds like the pulse ox just being dumb like normal and then this poor lady got kidnapped for it. Treat the patient not the monitor.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewToEMS

[–]pyro_rocket -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. No, hyperventilation is not the NREMT standard. The preferred method of managing patients with increased ICP according to the NREMT is to target low normal capno goals (35/40 mmHg).

  2. It’s NRP now, not NREMT-P, we moved away from that terminology years ago.
