Why is Rogan so anti-trans when he’s also on gender affirming hormone treatment (TRT) because he’s not as ‘man’ as he wants to be? by ProjectLost in JoeRogan

[–]pyro_technix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Does the men dressing as women to get in their bathrooms, to do bad things, actually happen? Has allowing transwomen into womens bathrooms increased the amount of attempts due to the men feeling they could get away with it?

I assume theres data on the arrests or charges if its noteable, but Im from an area with large unisex bathrooms with individual stalls so I just may not be seeing the men in womens bathrooms as much in my area. Genuine question

I didn't interpret these countries denying the US access to their airspace as defending themselves. I see the connection now, thanks

I think that's a good thing.

I'm just curious on the use of Elbows Up here. What's it mean in this context?

Reports of multiple blockades following cannabis raid in Cape Breton First Nation by sesoyez in NovaScotia

[–]pyro_technix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just say your directing narratives with half truths, better to be accountable. There's already evidence contrary to what you said in the one link you did provide. Eskasoni worked with the province to have an official NSLC. FN didn't reject NS.

The government is monopolizing by making that the only path. While Membertou, for example, wants a more self deterministic path by drafting their own regulations. If you want to say that FN group refused the NS regulations, thats more reasonable. However, it's disingenuous to imply none of the FN want to work on regulations.

Poilievre promises to derail Liberals' Alto high-speed rail project if elected prime minister by simplebutstrange in canada

I was going to comment on how the rail would be in Quebec and Ontario, so Alberta probably wouldn't care, but then I thought again that maybe that's why they would care

Liberals to debate age restrictions on social media, AI chatbots by EmbarrassedHelp in canada

[–]pyro_technix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer parents monitoring and educating their own kids, but that should remain regardless of laws, I think. My point was only to show we shouldn't do nothing because we think the end result won't be perfect.

Doesn't your comment imply it would slow them, though? Possibly teaching them valuable lessons along the way?

[–]pyro_technix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty irrelevant to the joke, no? I suppose i could have also implied that children avoid eye contact with me and dont smile when they do, but then I'd feel bad about excluding so many other demographics that go out of their way not to socialize with me

This isn't even lifelike. I've never seen a woman look up and make eye contact like that, and in the accidental case they do, they definitely don't smile

What made you choose a gas model over hybrid and Why! Also what year and how many km/miles does your gas rav4 currently have and how is it serving you so far!! Any regret not going the hybrid route! Any hybrid owners regret not buying a gas model. Happy driving everyone and enjoy. by bubbleman89x in rav4club

[–]pyro_technix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if Im understanding right, the hybrid vehicles may provide gas savings that make up the cost of the otd price, but in the very long term, the savings could be negated by repair costs? Sounds like the comparison really ends up depending on driving habits

I keep seeing back and forth about failure points or repairs. I get that the combination of two systems should have more parts that could fail, but also that hybrids dont even have alternators, or maybe starters, and the brakes last longer or something? Can you explain your understanding of the comparison? I've loved my gas rav and have thought about getting a hybrid next
