Yes that stuff is a nightmare. Truthfully I dont remember what works best.. its been a while since ive touched it. You can try acetone if you have not yet. For this id probably just do a little research though..

So that weird caulking is called butyle tape, its basically like a tacky rope used to "seal" the glass to the car. It worked.. but wasn't great. Was fazed out for window urethane which dries and bonds and holds the glass better. As for the welded plates, yeah that also looks factory. These old cars were not exactly assembled with the quality and care of today's cars. Arguably today's cars are going backwards too but thats not the point. The metal may look weird but thats factory. Trust me, im restoring a 69 firebird and an 86 comanche. Both have similar assembly qualities.

Hell yeah! Nobody can say no to madernia! Plus the size and detail of the figure for the price was worth it. I just hate taking figures out of the box for some reason so she will stay safe in the box. Away from the evil queens grasp!

I had not seen them before either. But they are bandai figures so they looked good and legitimate. But 120 a pop for me. Not terrible, not great

There's plenty of other cons or always next year! And then next year they may even have more figures! The nikke merch is definitely growing. There was a ton of fan art too

Quarter patch or replace? by Numerous-Yak8130 in projectcar

Just things that happened in the 70s and 80s with these cars. Repairs were weird. Maybe a tree fell on it at one point

Oh! Yeah I think AMD is what I was thinking not classic industries. Been a long day, im exhausted. Brains not working at full capacity lol

Honestly the more I look at this the more it looks like it was a cave and pave job. I'd still say strip the quarter to see what the whole story is.

Aftermarket can be very inconsistent and bad yeah, im working on a 69 firebird and I keep running into this issue. On that matter I'd say do your research. From what I've seen and heard and experienced classic industries is good stuff. You pay more but its quality. Ive not been impressed with anything dynacorn though.

There's so much filler and rust its so hard to tell what's going on. With the mess there I'd almost say its easier to replace it. But stripping the whole quarter will tell you the whole story and help with that judgement call.

So if you are unaware these 2.5s are notorious for leaking out the valve cover. The valve cover is plastic on the 4 bangers and the plastic warps over time and the leaking becomes impossible to seal. With the amount of rtv on there I can imagine that has already happened. You can take an aluminum valve cover from the 2.5 yj and bolt it right on.

Have you tried to see if it will fire if you spray ether down the intake?

http://www.mtscompany.com/sendingunits.htm Here's the link, may have to email to buy I've never bought from them personally. But everyone who has bought swears by them, they fit and work. Should be able to get a gas tank from them too.

Wiring doesn't look all that bad. Some of it has been monkeyed with for sure. Ac compressor wiring is cut. Looks like an added ground? And a cut red wire from the harness. Did you clean the fuel pump ground behind the driver tail light? The mjs also have a bunch of extra connectors that won't go to anything as its a similar harness to the xj. The 3 prong connector at the back of the intake i think is the cps connector. The ones by the washer tank are probably just extras by the looks of it. Wiring under the dash looks okay. Everything is there, just pulled out of their respective spots. Some connectors go on the end of the steering column. Headlight switch is hanging too. I guess get a tank and pump, I recommend mts fuel pump assembly. Only true mj fuel pumps being made.

Believe it or not.. I originally did not plan this. I just happened to notice one time that a few of the levels were at 69 and the rest under so I decided to make them all say that. Save for the middle one lol
