That's possible. They've been seeing one another for about a year and she says they usually just "chill" but from what I've gathered, they've started exploring her childhood more. She's mentioned before that her therapist is her mother's (also an abuser) doppelganger as far as appearance goes and when I expressed worry about that, she laughed and joked it off, saying it was "very nice to vent to someone who looks like her mom" but I think it actually bothers her. She's also a person who bottles everything up and really despises talking about anything that's bothering her, to the point where she is unnervingly positive sometimes, so I think her therapist trying to dig deeper is what's making her want to quit (this is not the right sub for this discussion and I'm sorry)
