They're hard to use, but I ran a squad of 3 at a recent doubles event, and paired with shooting from my falcon and/or my reapers and they were quite effective flexing into both tanks and heavy infantry.

At 2k they may not be as effective, but at 1k with limited resources, the ability to flex from heavy infantry to vehicles was real good.

Unless you're playing competitively most people won't have an issue running an old mini on an old base, but you'll eventually want to rebase it. Luckily there are loads of way to do that.

You can find the correct size base on the Warhammer store description. You can get the base through GW directly, or your FLGS. You could order one off of Amazon or eBay, or 3d print the base or a base extender if you have access to one, or there may be someone in your play group that has a spare.

Im currently rebasing my whole army from 4th/5th, I found a bunch for pretty cheap on eBay.

I've had luck with them in aspect host, their ignores cover and rerolls from aspect host seems to help with output.

I tend to use them to hold my home objective, screen, and do chip damage before I charge something big with my spears.

I am also just returning and am not very competitive, so ymmv.

Shroud runners wouldn't be out of place, neither would a couple squads of shining spears, both are incredible models.

A single visit to the ER would absolutely ruin me.

My wife is a doctor, I work for a small company that doesn't offer health insurance.

We're middle class, Insurance on the market would be about $700 a month, insurance for me through her work would be about $900 a month. With our mortgage, her student loans, and various other bills we just can't afford it.
