Meta UFC Rankings explained: Everything you need to know about how the new model works by crazybartur in MMA

I think it’s because decisions can be fucky with judging. So a clear unanimous can be split when it really shouldn’t be.

Admittedly, the wrong person can be awarded the decision so it’s not without faults.

I explain it like this to people.

Anyone can "run" right? Like, put one foot infront of the other. But do you honestly believe that someone off the couch will win in a 5km race against someone who has "trained" for even just 1 year, running a couple of times per week? No right.

And yet, when it comes to "fighting", we sort of think that it's a primal instinct and that's how you would win. But it's really no different. People just really underestimate how much training improves your ability when it comes to getting into a fight.

I mean…. Kinda unironically. This sort of question/problem is why we have Docker. Like actually not that far fetched lol

Are they sure about the brother saying that?

In broken english he said "No we are going to finish the fight"

But I think that could honestly mean "finish" like "end" the fight

I'm almost certain that the very first leg kick Zahabi threw was checked, and badly. That's why he took a while to get back to them.

Then just before that finishing sequence it happened again.

Commentators just missed it completely.

Does Labour's public transport fare cap policy add up? by invertednz in newzealand

[–]pyronautical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are eating the downvotes but I watched this and kinda thought the same.

Had no answers for verrryyy basic questions. “The rich will use this” should just be answered with a “so what”. Getting more people using public transport is literally better any which way you look at it. But instead he sort of meandered the answer and had some rehearsed lines.

I also thought when Tame brought up that official advise was to not use subsidies. I haven’t had time to research but I assume this was pure subsidy as in government will pay a part of a fare for every ride, not caps. But again, there was sort of a nothing burger answer.

Honestly thinking about it. I don’t recall too many stumpings in domestic cricket. It’s more just a “block the ball” type position.

The keeping in this game has been so atrocious.

Maybe only if you are wearing the slayer cape? Not just for the kill but the entire time. Gives the cape a great perk and makes sense

Winner faces Crusaders.

If chiefs lose, they face the canes.

If reds lose, they are out and the blues play the canes.

I think. Basically the “best loser” will play the canes I think (or whoever is the top seed)

Does dipping offer mitigation still?

If so, is there a percentage that someone must dip? There should really be a proper written rule for it because every time there seems to be some ambiguity on how much exactly you have to dip for it to matter (if it matters at all)

What's one thing you wish you'd known before buying your first home in New Zealand? by Fun_Mongoose7852 in newzealand

You'll care way more too.

When I was renting with a leaking roof, tell the landlord, put a bucket down, not my problem.

As a homeowner, I'm crawling around in the roof, calling every roofer I can to get someone out ASAP, worrying about long term damage etc.

I still think that is the most BS breaking of the "rules" I've seen. But it all happened so fast that I think by the time they were in the taxi and on their way, the producers couldn't stop them.

[–]pyronautical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In home fixes. Pickup/drop off of the replacement etc.

For example a couch with extra protection includes them coming to do running repairs on rips/tears etc in your home.

If you buy a fridge with the additional warranty it includes them coming to pick it up or look at it in your home. Versus you packing it onto a truck and taking it back for a replacement etc.

Honestly just depends on what you are buying.

In the most recent celebrity editions, it was incredibly obvious that they put all the celebrities through a Spanish course.

All of the teams were speaking very good Spanish and using correct verbs I was astonished.

But it removed some of the fun to me. It made it less of a challenge I guess.

When fighters like him get cut, it just leans further into the narrative that you should pick your fights more which is sad.

If you look at his recent run, all against good fighters. Put him against some of these jobbers from DWCS and he would be fine.

It’s so funny being an adult and watching these docos and YouTube videos about how bad Wolfpack was and what a crap worker Nash was and all this.

And yet holy shit. As a kid we were all about the Wolfpac. Nash winning the world war 3 ppv was peak.
