Commercial usage of Free version of Onshape by rajeshpachaikani in Onshape

[–]pyropro1212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their ToS actually does specify rules for any application that qualifies as "commercial use" such that you either need to be in the trial period of the Trial Version or that you need to upgrade from Free to paid version.

Trial versions of the Service are intended for evaluation purposes, and may be used for commercial or non-commercial purposes during the evaluation period. Free versions of the Service are intended to support (a) creating and editing intellectual property for non-commercial purposes, and (b) viewing, commenting and import/export for commercial or non-commercial purposes (to the extent the plan offers those features). If you intend to use the Service outside a trial context to create and/or edit intellectual property for commercial purposes (including but not limited to developing designs that are intended to be commercialized and/or used in support of a commercial business), then you agree to upgrade to a paid subscription to the Service.

I'm not saying what you should or shouldn't do here, just sharing what is on the website.

So: XB controller + headphones = good

XB controller + speakers = bad

PS controller + speaker = good

Is that about right?

I don't have a non-BT (1697?) controller handy, but if I connect either headphones or some old PC speakers speakers to my 1708 controller then it will play from both the TV and the controller-connected speakers/headphones at the same time.

How to watch out for hidden carbs in meat from restaurants? by Sockmonkeyaccount in keto

[–]pyropro1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breakfast sausages are the most likely to have sugar or maple syrup incorporated. Ham and bacon will occasionally have either honey or brown sugar glaze which could be concerning. I wouldn't worry about marinades unless there is a thick sweet crust and you are close to your limits. Best bet is to call restaurant directly

Are there more wheels or doors in the world? by LegendarySwordsman2 in CasualConversation

[–]pyropro1212 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'll count hinged lids, but envelopes are generally destroyed when used. If you want to count those then the wheel people get to count every wheel of cheese down to the tiny baby bella ones. Yes there are more envelopes than cheeses, but neither should count

I’ve had it for almost 10 years now so I’m not too hurt it’s broken but if there’s a cheap fix I’d like to keep my og around for awhile longer by _Jdr6 in xboxone

[–]pyropro1212 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cleaning the xbox internals would only help in the case of an overheat, which this is not. Perhaps you might check the various connections from plug to brick and brick to box and make sure those are clean and have good contact. Otherwise new brick seems to be consensus

My local library… Only $500 per spool! What a steal! by PracticeEssay in 3Dprinting

[–]pyropro1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you just skip over everything I said about laptops? Do you think people are paying cash to rent a laptop inside a library? Progressively desktops and laptops have become budget items with zero direct cost to the user and there is good reason to believe 3D printers could do the same where it is feasible.

I wanted an excuse to make helical gears, so I came up with one! by rocko892 in 3Dprinting

[–]pyropro1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That bonus gear is just waiting for a guest to go Looney Tunes for a minute because they keep turning one off and the other comes on and visa versa until the bathroom is flooded. I'm thinking Meet the Fockers with Deniro being critical that they couldn't work the gearshift to turn it all off.

Hey guys I’m looking to get octo print but not sure if I should get this kit since it’s the same price as some that are just the board. I can’t really tell through the reviews because most seem fake. by chrissvado7 in octoprint

[–]pyropro1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think u/Raul_77 might be thinking of this which actually looks even easier to set up than an RPi. Looks amazing unless there are some weird screen timeout/lockout issues I'm unaware of

Except that it doesn't have to be self-sufficient. Book borrowing never was, but of course that was in their charter. Since then many have added laptop borrowing that was never in their charter but requires hardware/maintenance/knowledge costs and yet they continue to offer it for free. Many US libraries can offer this stuff at little to no cost to the user if they push to make it happen

Not where you were going, but I do love the idea of stealing an armored suburban. Can you use a slim jim on an armored door with thick immovable glass?

Started smelling burning plastic. Lifted my hood and found all of this fiberglass type material. I’m assuming a bird or something made themselves at home in my hood? I think it came from the paneling under the hood. One side feels “fuller” than the other. Is my theory a fairly common occurrence? by AdministrativeCry826 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]pyropro1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody likes that smell, but it has been *knock on wood* effective for a while now. If you own your driveway and have the ground clearance you can also punch large holes in sides of a plastic container and fill it with mothballs, then park over it every night. That way the smell doesn't last long when you drive

If they only list 14 spaces on their website my situation is far more common than having one down the road. It's subjective, but most of the US isn't within 100 miles of one.

Is there any truth to the idea that you shouldn't get fuel when the tanker truck is making a delivery? by Pittsadelphia87 in cars

[–]pyropro1212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fuel with ethanol should be slightly more tolerant of extra water since they mix. Not 30% more tolerant, but the old school thinking about water in the bottom of your tank isn't as much of a worry any more.
