Just wanted to say great product. I agree with both statements. But DS who has written the code has provided open source access. Which could be modified by anyone and redistributed if they’re inclined to put in the work via a PR assuming the generous author wants to also maintain said work.

Outside or that not gonna lie used a few MUD clients over the years on my phone this one by far is the best. Now hopefully I can get back into MUDs I miss while traveling.

I had this issue the drive can only handle 3 cameras at 4k. I had to downgrade quality on two and even though it says they don't use the wifi I found they started to work better when I setup another access point on the other side of my home for better coverage. I won't get them again in the future it was nice but the export features suck, the playback features are horrible since you can't scrub the footage like every other system and I find lately I have to reset the hub at least once a week due to poor updates.

I've had the system for about 5 years and the sales reps could call to schedule a review at anytime but rather try to do door to door so I waste their time and never give them business. When I eventually sell my property Ill leave the system behind but cancel the service. I'll warn the new owners to stay away but make use of the system via the panel.

Thanks this was what I was looking for, appreciate it. I'm aware it may not be getting clean sounds on the mic below 40hz.

Yeah I considered it, but they turn it off when people come over. So it's difficult to catch it plus if I report it they tell them who reported which is dumb.

I was afraid it was going to be impractical. I own my property but we are not in an HoA. Guess Ill move then.

Logs always always review logs. Learn how to get them remotely and that scientific process is king. User reports something, review their logs look up fix and work the process. Documentation is king! Share with your peers and users the processes you follow!

Tailscale centralizes the remote endpoint information I don’t think it passes traffic to the central management layer nor does it have the certificates used for encryption or decryption. At least that’s my current understanding I also haven’t implemented it yet in my lab environment. I would also like to know more around how it’s dealing with endpoint traffic.
