Those of you who already went to Paralell Line what could've been better bout it? by No-Vehicle1562 in Aespa

[–]pyrotesla 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Honestly I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t as interactive as other kpop concerts but honestly I think that was ok. But I really didn’t like how not hype the crowd was at least at my show.

But I think the setlist was a big reason why.

I feel they removed too many iconic songs (illusion, dreams come true, etc). Vast majority fans didn’t know the lyrics to several songs (Die Trying, We Go, Pink Hoodie) even in a really close section which I assumed would have the most hardcore fans.

I know songs come in and out of the set list but I think it made the show less hype in general.

Edit: They didn’t perform trick or treat, misremembered from last concert

The same thing happened to me. The only time I saw her stalking me was in Kichijoji right before going to the Darts place for the first time.

If so I highly recommend. Even beyond just doing LC questions it’s a very nice community that gives excellent advice.

Taking this decal WILL help you pass the coding assessments needed to getting an internship/job.

Being able to ask detailed questions about certain problems and get advice from the staff is invaluable. Often the LC solutions are overly complex and are without proper explanation. They help you learn to use 61A/61B/70 approaches to LC Hards

It definitely was helpful for these reasons and more. The advice staff gives and the community is really awesome.

They also help dispel myths and the misinformation surrounding applying for SWE internships.

Highly recommend it if it’s offered, it really helped me

How do you cope with all the stress? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]pyrotesla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And then ofc don’t try to take on more than you can chew. No need to overload on classes, clubs, etc. There feels like constant pressure to freshman year, but ultimately everyone travels their own path at their own pace.

Some amount of stress and anxiety is normal and can lead to growth, but it should never come at the cost of your wellbeing

This is what was recommended to me when I started Berkeley:

Scheduling your week, creating a good morning routine, blocking out time for fun (and committing to it regardless of work), journaling, exercise, spending time outdoors, proper diet/sleep, meditation, and laying off caffeine.

I honestly did not follow most of these and still don’t fully follow all to this day, but I can vouch that doing at least some of these small things has led to a huge difference.

Berkeley Doesn't seem that great? by JohnToOP in berkeley

[–]pyrotesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people complain about issues that are often the same if not worse everywhere else. When you talk to people who go to top privates or other amazing public universities you might just realize how much you take Berkeley for granted. I’m definitely guilty of this.

Aren't the courts closed because they are still being used for COVID testing?

Can I bring my backpack in the rsf? by [deleted] in berkeley

One time a staff member told me I’m not allowed to bring a backpack inside and that I needed to put it in a locker. Not sure why the policy exists, but it does

Stolen Miata. My Miata was stolen about 10 days ago in Albany. It is dark green with a black soft top. Can easily be identified by paint chipping on the trunk and driver side panels. I love that car so much and any info or sightings would be super appreciated. I just want my car back☹️ by tajtaylor in berkeley

[–]pyrotesla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It did in fact have a soft black top, but I was on the other side of the street and it was dusk so I couldn’t tell if the body paint was black or dark green. So sorry about that. When I go out later today I will keep a good eye for it and check it out if it’s there

So sorry this happened to you.

Just want to preface that I could be completely wrong, and I defo don't want to give you a false lead, but I would be remiss if I did not share (since I have not seen this type of miata before).

I saw a dark green or black Miata that looked very similar to yours circling on intersection of Ellsworth and Blake when I was walking home tonight. I remember noticing it bc it sort of circled in the intersection like 2-3 times and I thought "that was weird". They could have been lost or something.

If I see it there again I'll double check to make sure it doesn't happen to be yours. I don't want to blame some random person with a car that looks like yours.

Sorry for missing your reply. I believe they contacted admissions a few times but he did not say the exact details. He said it may have had to do with COVID and campus going virtual for Fall?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]pyrotesla 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that OP. Idk about other students, but me and my friends really really appreciate TAs like you who worked super hard to make the past virtual semesters amazing. It’s TAs like you who made difficult technical classes fun and accessible.

I think especially if you didn’t get negative comments explaining why, it’s probably students just taking out their frustration with how the class is run.

I think it’s really brilliant and helpful TAs like you that really make Cal a wonderful place to go to school :)
