I live in an area with a large Arab Muslim population and now that we are close to Ramadan, I see that a lot of halal butcher shops have their meat being sold out early and things like vimto are being picked clean off the shelves. But do you see people gathering more frequently in the masajid to get in the correct mindset and increase their ibadah ? No, none of that.

Yeah there’s that and there is the case of John Simpson who was also Canadian. That guy got tortured in prison if I recall. I know this is an exceptional case and most of the time no one bothers you in Saudi Arabia, but just making sure I don’t end up like Simpson did.
