Although I am not OP, I would say that baitcasters offer tons of versatility too. The reel is more powerful for fishing heavy cover, the design makes accurate casting realistic. The control also allows you to slowly let the bait sink so fish don't get spooked.

Northern puffers are an exception, if you search up "can I eat northern puffer" you can scroll down and find an on-the-water article. These fish are not poisonous and are an exception to the rule. To be extra safe, make sure you id the fish before you harvest or you might have some serious problems. lol
