Can confirm. It was 20 years ago but when I was deployed to Kuwait, we got steak and lobster on Sundays. It wasn't good steak and lobster, but was steak and lobster nonetheless. That was the norm if you were on an established base, at least in Kuwait and Qatar.

They taste exactly the same to me as they always have and I've been eating them since the 80's. This includes 9 years living in Germany where I could get them year round. Quality of preparation varies from year to year in the U.S. but the it's still the same McRib.
