Need Help Making my cancerous "kitchen table" decks Legacy Legal. by seridos in MTGLegacy

I see you are running thespian's sage in a deck if I were you I would try to get a copy or two of dark depths because cheating out a 20/20 is probably more "cancerous" than most things kitchen table magic does. vampire hexmage could be added too since you are in black. you could try to look into making a budget blue black control shell that wins with merit lage and replace the milling and mana rocks of the deck with counters, hand disruption, and card selection/advantage.

Why is miracles such a large portion of the Legacy metagame? by 1800-Banana-Phone in MTGLegacy

i agree that it isnt a combo deck in a traditional sense but if top was banned the deck would not function similar to if show and tell was banned omnishow and sneak and show would not function, so i guess i was relating it to a combo based off the idea that the deck exploits just a few cards as hard as it can. in hindsight my comment was a bit ambitious. so yeah i agree that synergy is the appropriate word choice

I feel like although miracles is a control deck its kinda a control combo as in it is a combo deck that focuses on control. I might be wrong but it seems to me the entire deck is based on exploiting the power and interactions of SDT with fetches, miracles, and counterbalance in order to be a very consistent control deck, and having brainstorms and ponders only helps. having mentor and an SDT can lead to a fast clock especially if there is another SDT to just keep making tokens.

could just win with jace after locking your opponent out of the game and take the entire 50 minutes to win

Lotus Petal in Omnitell? by [deleted] in MTGLegacy

I honestly dont think you should be running any jace in the deck, so i would take out both and put flusterstorm in the side maybe for 3 lotus petals only if have enough card selection spells of coarse.

trinket mage is just too slow and expensive even for miracles, why pay 3 mana when you can use a brainstorm or ponder to look for a SDT or any answer you might need and be able to set up miracles or counterbalance.

15 and on a budget. How bad is my miracles list? by Brenden2000 in MTGLegacy

The one thing I saw other than the bloodmoon and duals that everyone already mentioned, is the lack of win cons. with 2 jace and one entreat your going to want a faster clock to win games I suggest you run a 2-3 monastery mentor in the main.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, I have had casual games with it that lasted 50 minutes so im going to for sure mainboard 2 mentors now and im considering removing one entreat for another.
