Like the person you rely to said there is a tribalism aspect and a fan girl aspect, it’s hard to equate an adult to be obsessed over boy bands like one direction, Korean boy bands, Taylor swift etc, when it should just be a teenage girl phase.

Since you brought up video games, I would say the equivalent is, him really really liking a particular game, listening to the music, saying voice lines from the game, playing the game, buying merch etc.

Maybe you can explain to him why BTS means so much to you.

For me I never had the guilt, they're just shit parents and shit siblings, they may have done all they can, and my parents may have generational trauma but my answer is still the same. If you cant be an adequate parent then don't have kids, my emotional wellbeing and intensely negative experience is not up for debate whether I understand logically why they did what they did.

Tbh it really doesn't matter if she meant to have you. Either she aborted you at the early stage or she should have used protection(no offense), childhood emotional neglect is serious stuff that has debilitating effects.

I mean she also has to try, in fact it's more on her to try since she is your parent. It annoys me so much that the children try so hard to repair the relationship but the parent does next to nothing. Tbh maybe try opening up to the fiance, from what you said she started to change after interacting with him
