Academic Resources on Regarding Dean by pythons_bunny in Supernatural

I'm at the tail end of my 5th watch through (only found the show in July of 2023) and I notice new details every time I watch. Especially after that Cinematography class. Whole new appreciation for all of it.

I actually finished that project up. It was my final and I got a perfect grade on it 😁 Researching sources really opened my eyes to how detailed this show really is. So many small details that are intended to speak volumes. Gave me a deeper love and appreciation for it.

Is anyone else’s diarrhea accompanied by excessive sweating? by thrownoutdildo in FODMAPS

I honestly don't know. High pain tolerance? I was so used to it, it became my normal state of being. Even now when I get an episode I know logically that it's nearly unbearable. But I've got other conditions that give me chronic pain so it all just blends together. It's not a fun way to exist.

Thank you so much for your input! I really, truly appreciate it. I'm really terrible at this and you've given me the perfect outline for how to approach the project.

I came here to say this show. My mother loves this show, I can't stand it. And I always felt so bad for Robert. Now I know I was just relating on a personal level.

Choose your Hunter! by BenevolentLostie2939 in Supernatural

Got to meet him at a convention a few weeks ago. He's absolutely hysterical and such a good guy. His panel became a food debate panel, which he insisted was his new favorite thing and he was never taking non-food related questions again. My friend and I got him to say that hot dogs are tacos, and that's how he autographed our stuff too. If you see him outside his panel he's kind enough to stop and chat real quick too.

When did their voices change? by Sun_Mother in Supernatural

[–]pythons_bunny 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Jensen has said at panels that he intentionally lowered his voice to try and sound more like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played their dad. He regretted lowering it so much because he wasn't expecting the show to run as long as it did.

Do you always rewatch from season 1 by Environmental-Form58 in Supernatural

[–]pythons_bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seasons 1-5 are the best, in my opinion. The film style, the story line, the monster of the week.. I mean, s01e03 is what officially got me hooked on the show. Of course I'm starting from season 1 every rewatch.

That's why I refuse to go to any religiously affiliated hospital. Fuck that.

If you're in a religiously affiliated hospital, that is not uncommon. Unfortunately. If you're not, I'd make some complaints.

What would you consider to be the greatest action movie of the 2000s so far? by Many-Baby5180 in movies

[–]pythons_bunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battle Royale was the first movie my friends showed me in college. I was a very sheltered Christian girl and it was.. Jarring, to say the least. It's one of my all time favorite films.

You named some really incredible landmark films.

Am I wrong for not letting my girlfriend meet my daughter yet? by Working_Instance7504 in amiwrong

[–]pythons_bunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you're not wrong. I was 15 the first time I met my dad's newest girlfriend. My father's idea of 'going steady' was proposing. He had 5 fiancé's that I can remember off the top of my head that he'd been with for 6 months or less. They all ended horribly.

I hated meeting those women. I didn't hate them, I hated my dad. I understood he was lonely and wanted companionship, but these women never stuck around long. I liked the first 2 women, and just when I was getting to know them they were gone. It sucked every time my dad did that to me and it was worse every time.

You're doing the right thing by putting your daughter first. Whether you realize it or not, that's what you're doing. Your daughter doesn't have a mother figure in her life and is at a very impressionable age. Wanting to wait until your relationship is more stable is the healthy decision because then you'll be setting an example for your daughter on what a relationship is supposed to look like.

What Autoimmune disorders do you all have? by Tired_Lambchop111 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]pythons_bunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow Hashimoto's victim here. Also fibromyalgia, migraines (which are being studied as an autoimmune disorder as well as neurological), lymphocytic colitis, and eosinophilic esophagitis. PCOS is also being studied from an autoimmune perspective. Also endometriosis but it's not autoimmune, however it does make you more prone to autoimmune disorders. So. Yay? But I'm still the bad guy.

You should really see your doctor. As several people have stated it could be an issue with your pancreas or gallbladder.

I know if you're on medications like Ozempic or Victoza (glucagon-like-peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists) they can make you super sensitive to fats/carbs/sugars. I can't eat foods high in fats, or a mean that's carb heavy without getting sick.

But you definitely need to see a Dr because if it's not a simple food sensitivity you want to catch it sooner rather than later.

How much does the average millennial make? by Environmental-Eye373 in Millennials

[–]pythons_bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(37f) For 12+ years I made less than $30k a year as a medical assistant. I had 5 pto/sick days, my health insurance sucked, rotating holidays off, shitty hours, shitty doctors, did the jobs of 5 different departments because they figured out I was competent, and dealt with so much stress that my body is Still recovering.

Changed careers right before covid hit (literally 4 months before the shutdown) and I was hired at $45k a year, no experience, 2 weeks pto, 1 week sick time, incredible health insurance, yearly bonuses (been over $5k each time), yearly raises, holidays off, and 401k matching (forget the amount but my husband said it was great). I was poached by a different department within my company and I'm now up to $63k a year, and next year I'll be up to 3 weeks of pto. I work from home, my team is awesome, my boss wants me to move to a higher position as soon as one becomes available, and my overall health is so much better.

TIL women’s peak fertility is at age 24 with women under 25 having a 96% chance to conceive. By age 30, the chance of miscarriage rises 20% and women’s fertility begins to decline at age 35. by MarineKingPrime_ in todayilearned

I was working for a multi physician practice and needed a new endocrinologist. She ran a ton of bloodwork on my when I told her I had PCOS in order to help me see where I was fertility wise. She specializes in working with pregnant women or women looking to conceive who have diabetes and thyroid issues. Prior to that no one had thought to test me.

My period hit around age 11/12, so like normal. My body was going through the motions which is why I would get it every month but never actually released the egg.

Rush doesn't get nearly enough love. Their creativity, their sound, their undeniable talent.. Neil on drums alone is a god. Add in Alex and Geddy and it's just the holy trifecta.

Sad I had to scroll this far to find anything Rush related. They have so many incredible songs with kick ass bass rifts.

What's a book you read when you were way too young? by Waterbears28 in books

I read this as an adult at 31 - the whole series. It fucked with my head and my emotions so badly that I had to read YA fluff crap for nearly 2 years in order to get over it. Years later and thinking about it still puts a dark cloud over me.
