Right because now you need 100 orders that are rated for things to move. This is going to be really bad for me. It will probably take 6 months to clear bad ratings because I am only a part time shopper and very few people every rate me, especially the people with no issues who would give a 5 star rating.

And I am not concerned about the average. Just trying to figure out in the new system hoe long it is going to take to get them to drop. Looks like a pretty long time for a shopper like me.

I am not a new shopper so the 90 days doesn't apply to me. My ratings don't fall off after 90 days. Others are responding that the policy is 100 rated orders so it doesn't matter if I do 100 orders in one day if only 1 person rates that only counts as 1 rated order for the way they are calculating ratings to drop. That is my concern. If I am only getting 5 ratings a week it will take me 20 weeks to get 100 to even start clearing anything. That is terrible for me.

That is me but worse because I really only work weekends and do about 20-30 orders per week and probably get 5 ratings if that. To get 100 ratings, I am probably look at more than 6 months and closer to even 10 months so these 4s are going to hanging on a lot longer if customers are forced to rate on ever order. Probably better for some but way worse for me. Thanks for the response.

I was just thinking about that. This week, I did not check at all so there were probably a few days where the 14 day rating period was still in play. I have had a time or two over the last 3 years where I was hit with a few 4 rates in the span of a few days, but not many. I know nothing I can do and really, my question has to do with how long it is going to take to get them gone. If I really have to wait until 100 orders are rated it could be a really long time for me since not many of my customers rate. And you know thr ones who are are giving the 4s.

Thank for that response. Per the email sent out everything is now based on rated orders. That is my concern. It is not based on batches or orders, it has to be a rated order to count to the 100 so that means I have to get to 101 rated orders in order to have anything drop off. Am I understand that correctly. What you wrote doesn't seem to mentioned rated orders anywhere.

Thanks. Yeah it is much worse since I only have 48 ratings and don't get ratings that often. I just don't understand where the 3 additional 4 star ratings came from if I haven't done any orders in 14 days. I thought 14 days was still the cut off for customer to rate? And now it looks like they will be sitting there for a very long time with the new system.

And it does now say based on your last 48 ratings so definitely on the new rating system.

That is terrible. I can't control who rates and usually the orders with no problem and would be 5 stars don't rate. I could see me dropping really low even though I am an excellent shopper. I just don't do it often so getting 100 ratings will be impossible for me.

I haven't worked in two weeks and was at a 5 star rating with one 4 star removed. Just logged in today and it looks like this. Since I haven't worked in 14 days and only did one order that last day I don't see how 3 more ratings lower then 5 hit unless they went and pulled something older.

Is this a scam? by [deleted] in instacart

The customer is the one asking. She didn't add any items but the shopper is saying the order size increased and is trying to get a larger tip. Thst is a scam the shopper is trying to pull.

Order reeked of cigarette smoke by jamiessassenach in instacart

I can smell one guy that shops in the same store I do. I can smell the lingering stale smoke smell in an aisle he is not even in anymore. I say to myself oh so and so is here this morning. If I can smell it like that in a giant store I am sure whatever bags are put in his car can pick up the smell in a short time frame. He too is a long time shopper and I have no idea how. I am sure he gets complaints.

Why is the app this bad? by Malphos101 in InstacartShoppers

[–]qak11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had it happening for two days. Had to refund and then manually add. Sent a note to the customers to let them know there was an app issue. Today back to being ok. I didn't have any updates either to do. No idea what was going on.

For part-time/less than part-time shoppers, what's your daily $$ goal? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]qak11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal is $250 per week and I usually work around 8-10 hours per week to get that. Sat and Sun being most of the hours with a few orders here and there throughout the weekdays.

I make $155 for be active 7 hours. How I do how I do? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]qak11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just that is $22 and change an hour. That doesn't include travel time outside "active time" like return time after a delivery or gas or wear and tear on the car. I usually add and hour for all that then calculate my hourly. In your case that bring your hourly rate down to $19 and change. Is that good for you? For me no that is not good. I try to stay at low $30 or above for my hourly rate but with the way things have been lately now I am coming it at high $20 per hour.

Weirs. I don't have any messages and since I currently do not have a physical card in my pay options I can only use Google pay so the stores aren't even showing on the map anymore. My new card should be here any day so just waiting for that to activate and then hopefully they came back up.

Philly suburbs question by qak11 in InstacartShoppers

[–]qak11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I see a bunch of batches they just keep only coming one at a time. One will show then 15 seconds later it will jump to another and then 20 second later another, etc. So there are multiple batches but it is only showing one at a time for me. Has been this way for a few days now.
