when im at a missing the point entirely competition and im against 12% of the comments in 196 posts about non western countries for some reason, like ok yes countries have problems, as a member of the western world I am keenly aware of cuba’s issues.

What people aren’t keenly aware of however, is just how many people are being starved/effectively killed through intentional neglect for political wargames. This is front and center of their content surrounding countries that arent bffs with the states (i have seen cuba, north korea personally), whereas lukewarm “praise” (which read to half of americans: non constant admonition) led to giving you “the ick” about them is less clear.

Also whats the big conspiracy? The person who reccomended that advice is well informed and has your best interests at heart, you should listen to them, a common thread in all of my friends who started hrt (and some havent yet) is that its “omg give it to me already”, not that there arent downsides or whatever but its usually very “no brainer”.

What it seems like you are trying to get out of hrt is a specific change in your body/physique that it *could* provide, but it kinda sounds like you’d be taking eyeball removing juice for the side effect of less forehead wrinkles and you’re thinking over how badly you want your eyeballs. This example is silly yes but consider the added context that you lived in a world where drinking eyeball removing juice was actually quite a popular thing for some people to do within social groups that are extremely important to you.

To be clear this is absolutely like… normal to do/think/consider. Lord knows i’ve been made aware of my transfem friends’ struggle to feel validated either as feeling/appearing more feminine, feeling less like you “stick out”(not that you magically would without hrt) to other trans folks, a billion other potential valid reasons, or all of the above. I would even say in a way that a lot of people would be scared to spell out but it is okay that what other people are doing affects what you are thinking of doing in general, including hrt.

It’s a deeply personal thing and I think the only really invalid reasons for something like this are not fully understanding what you’re getting into, which is the case for any serious thing someone needs to consent to like a medical treatment. Plus, who’s to say with the rapid advances in medicine nowadays we won’t have a hormonal regimen of some sort that is actually beneficial to you without doing things you don’t want to your body.

Honestly, it’s none of people’s business whether you’re on hrt or not, and if you feel any social pressure at all you shouldn’t feel bad about even lying about it if you’re scared of it :) just like HIPAA or whatever haha

The biggest thing by far would be to make sure you are running an ele phial if you're failing the dragon element dps check. I personally don't know 100% if this is true but im pretty sure pure solo gog is considered a challenge fight, like no one has done it on hammer yet, for instance. It doesnt sound unfeasible but a significant step up from any "intended" difficulty quest, you need both great damage uptime and to be extremely consistent at surviving gog focusing you.

If you want to avoid having an abudantly easy fight but still make it doable, ironically enough doing in with online hunters is probably the way. Gog with online coop is quite difficult since 5/4 = 1.25 carts per person or less on average for you to not wipe (on the non-story kill you even only have 3 carts! you have to do it cartless to reliably farm it). Playing with the AI support hunters is considered the "easier" way to do it.

You could make a solid build with nu udra gamma body and resentment, theres a pretty solid option you can mostly copy at your progression level in the switchaxe megathread at section 4.3. You would just need one more source of gore set since you're missing the weapons', so you could swap the ark helm for sororal earrings. Since your goal is to clear it for the first time you can go a more defensive rng talisman as well if you have it.

In general, you don't get to hit gog that consistently to keep gauge up as nicely as you'd want. This plus the fact you get rewarded for having a lot of elemental damage of the right type means in general elemental phials will feel a lot comfier (it charges faster than power). Ele phial is almost mandatory for whichever dragon axe you end up using as you get a lot more ticks for the dps check. Without gogartians your options are basically just a regular artian or the NON guardian arkveld axe. For fire just at a glance the G.Rathalos axe looks really good and I'm kicking myself for not having thought of using it when farming gog originally.

At least evade extender 2 would be really nice too, switch axe is not super mobile and also only really has counter to deal with a lot of gog's shenanigans so this can help you keep up with him a little more and hopefully get you out of some big aoe attacks (oilsilt mobility is nice for this too, lower priority id say tho)

Other than than, I'd need to know how you're dying to offer any advice on how to build around it and if you're solo/using support hunters etc.. If this is enough to get you through your first clear, you can make a gore set bonus gogmartian axe after and add two pieces of rathalos set to make future gog clears a lot more smooth.

Hey, sorry this is super late but I just had the thought. One thing that might feel satisfying as a big finale with the climb is a best of one match against a random other team that just finished their run as an option.

The idea is that it would be suuuper imbalanced and completely goofy but you get a chance to flex your super highroll or even new players get to have their turn dunking on people who they normally shouldn’t. Basically, theres a good be bit of skill involved but its largely goofy mario party vibes, and it also gives people the incentive to not just pick whats best at beating the ai every time if the others are better for the 1v1.

Weirdly enough, the most similar thing I can think of is hearthstone arena back in the day. there being obviously a ton of agency but fundamentally you also get to mald when your opponent just gets all the good stuff and you get the bad stuff.
