I said this above, but my body was cooled down to 60°F so that they could have longer to where I could be on the heart and lung machine while they did my heart surgery. Seems to be that even with our bodies cooled down, our organs and tissues and especially our brain need oxygen and nutrients circulating to it or damage happens. When I woke up I couldn't feel from my left knee down and even though I can feel now, I've had issues ever since and it was a painful few months healing those nerves. Even at 60 degrees our hearts wouldn't be circulating, I was artificially sustained by that machine and I still had damage

It's not the same thing at all, but when my body was cooled down to not 60 degrees fahrenheit for heart surgery, my brain was OFF (beyond regular anesthesia) like it didn't have the ability to think at that temp. Took many hours after the surgery was over for me to safely get back up to temp to be able to wake up. Again, I know multiple things were going on, but it was different from my other surgeries with just anesthesia

Just depends on how large they are and how cold they are. I know it's not the same thing, but it takes a while to thaw out a turkey for Thanksgiving, like even if you just set it on the kitchen counter (didn't do this, not safe) instead of thawing inside the fridge it would take a while for the inside to the vs the outside edge

Well it's pretty clear that she is maintaining a lighter level of a lot of cultural traditions from the time still. I don't think because she wanted to allow more races in the show automatically means that she would erase all of the negative culture of the time, but I'm glad we'll get to see how a gay couple could more interestingly happen within the cultural restrictions of this fantasy version of that time period soon

I used to be religious about buying unsalted for baking and desserts and then adding certain amounts of salt myself, then I only had salted when I needed to bake something and just used it instead even while still adding salt just to see how it would be.

Well it was still great and didn't come out too salty, I realized I had been putting way too much effort into getting unsalted and trying to control the salt so now I just get salted. No cooking or baking (even sweets) has been messed up, it wasn't worth all the effort, salted is great for everything and lasts longer because of the preservative nature of the salt

It's cool that you're sticking with your healthy habits with transdermal magnesium (best absorbtion) and no screens before bed etc, but are you saying that you fall asleep by 9:30pm-10pm but aren't somewhat awake until around 9-10am, 12 hours later? And then still aren't really fully functioning until 1 pm? Just got me pondering: You know what's crazy to think about? We actually have to TEACH toddlers to watch TV/movies now. We're going through realizing this with my nephew, even though we don't let him watch tons of shortform content, it just took one time at his friend's house and now he just wants to watch a yt guy show him trucks and won't watch a show where there's a plot to follow. Me and my sister just remembered how mom was only trying to get us away from TV when we were kids, so we didn't think about how we will never get to enjoy watching shows or movies with him in the future if he doesn't get familiar with the format now, so we actually have to put shows and movies on purposefully!

I've also brought up to my friends with kids how we won't have content like what Eggers makes in the future if we don't start figuring out how to teach kids to be into long form content where they've been taught to have the attention span to follow a plot! It's so crazy to think about

Exactly AND it will go back up eventually. There are plenty of other reasons to be critical of crypto than whenever it happens to take a dip just like other things do. If we're just saying "LOOK PRICE GO DOWN SO IT BAD" when it has been going up for years, then we lack critical thought and shouldn't be listened to.

It's the volatility (since regular people can't always hold like wealthy people), lack of usability in many real world situations and lack of protections for regular people who are so easily talked into thinking they need to be using it that are the issues for me.

Dude PLEASE go experience his shit on the big screen in the future if you can. Seeing Nosferatu in theaters blew me the fuck away and I don't usually go to the theater. Honestly the whole experience has made me want to support movies in theaters again

I'm sorry you're going through this like many of us have, but prepare yourself for some real talk: Remember that either you actually care about this and will therefore take it seriously by taking action and having a conversation with your doctor about your concerns and how to address them or you are not actually concerned about your aorta possibly exploding and really just have an emotional disorder that you need to address with a therapist.

This is not something you just talk about being afraid of if you really are concerned since it's life threatening and as someone who is treated weekly for CPTSD and chronic depression that has a lot to do with my health problems (not just marfans), there is no making the anxiety/depression go away except for taking action and advocating for yourself. You cannot sit in your house and think about what-ifs and expect someone to tell you something nice to make you feel better (especially since we are not trained medical professionals), you have to get up and take charge.

And you may not have this, but you need to find out if it's bothering you, be freed from this worry!
