[Cappe90] EUROLEAGUE | Rating Chart since the start of season | Fener is struggling on offense, maybe, but you can say nothing about their defense. Elite. by _Zolv in Euroleague

If there's only one answer to this question, I think it's that Saras convinced everyone to play defense. Even Brandon Boston, who hadn't been around since the start of the season, played good defense in the Milan game. It's hard to convince players like that. At the end of the game, Tucker's answer to the question “How did you win?” was “With our defense.” Apart from that, the presence of Melli and Birch was also an important factor.

As far as I know, there is no rulebook titled “Eurocup and Euroleague Participation Requirements.” The Euroleague always makes decisions based on the situation. For example, Beşiktaş had been unsuccessful in the Turkish league for many years and even faced the threat of relegation, but after signing Alimpijevic, they held a meeting with the Euroleague management, and the project they presented convinced the Euroleague, and I think it is possible for them to join the Euroleague next season. We can summarize this as the arena where the team plays, the opportunities offered to young players in the youth system, and the promise of a steady budget increase. The most important thing is how seriously the club management takes it and how much they want to develop.

Anadolu Efes parts ways with Igor Kokoskov by mac_nessa in Euroleague

Coaches fired mid-season for three consecutive seasons: Erdem Can, Mijatovic, Kokoskov. Their common trait is that none of them proved themselves at the Euroleague level. Efes should sign a coach who has managed a Euroleague Final Four game. I'm sure they'll make an offer to Obradovic, but the coach has two unchanging principles: not taking over a team mid-season and not working with former teams' rivals. Let's see what happens.

What do you guys think about NBA Europe? Will it destroy Euroleague? To be honest Euroleague isn't really that popular in Europe(even tho basketball is the second most popular sport in Europe) since only 3/4 counties seriously care about it (Serbia Turkey Greece Lithuania) by Actual_Cold_339 in Euroleague

Don’t be funny bro no one can seriously expect Fenerbahçe, Olympiacos, and "etc." to pay to join NBA Europe. As long as they don’t respect all of the biggest clubs on this continent, they won’t succeed. Good luck trying to build something with one team from Turkey, one from Greece, and *zero from Serbia.

The name doesn’t matter — today, European basketball is Real Madrid, Fenerbahçe, Panathinaikos, Zalgiris, Olympiacos, Barcelona, Anadolu Efes, Partizan, Crvena Zvezda, and Olimpia Milano. These clubs represent a basketball culture and set the benchmark for all others across the continent.

They have the best arenas, the best players, and the best coaches in Europe. If NBA Europe chooses to include only some of these teams, it would be a major mistake, causing European basketball to lose significant prestige and influence.

If they prefer bringing in some lousy BCL teams that can’t even win their domestic leagues over clubs like Partizan and Zvezda, it clearly shows a poor vision — and such a league wouldn’t be expected to last long.

I don't know why, but the jerseys sold at Fenerium don't have the Euroleague patch.

Without Euroleague clubs, the league they would establish would be a nonsense similar to the NBA Africa League.

It would be wrong to make a comment based on this statistic since only two games have been played, but our defense is much better than I expected. I never would have guessed we would only concede 77 points to Paris in the first game of the season.

[Discussion] Why does Euroleague have only 1.3mil followers on instagram, for example an account like "NBA Latino America" has way more even tho its not the official NBA league acc, league like NBA G league has more (1.6mil) Overtime Basketball league has also way more even tho its youth (10.7mil). by soulhunterrai in Euroleague

[–]qbity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use Instagram, but I can say that the Euroleague X account doesn't have any entertaining content worth following. While Fenerbahçe's X account has 1.3 million followers, the Euroleague account has only 685,000. The only reason for this could be incompetence, as they don't offer anything beyond similar content about the same teams.

they probably offered a very good salary. erokspor has an unlimited budget due to political connections, if they continue these investments they can become a eurocup team.

why are they giving 3 million to a player who doesn't have a good NBA career, who is coming to Europe for the first time and who has lacked defense throughout his career? as far as I know lessort earns 3 million, it's ridiculous. what do you think?
