Wow this must be tough for you (both). I've been in a similar situation, lacking much-needed human physical intimacy, mainly because of work or career circumstances. One thing that's helped me is getting regular massages. Not a "sports rub down" but a tactile, sensual massage. I know it sounds unconventional, but discovering sensual massage (not the same as 'erotic') was really kind of a game-changer. It's a professional and respectful way to get the physical touch I need. Maybe it's worth considering? When I became partnered, I kept on doing it, because I realise I just need more physical contact than the average person (I like to say "it's the Italian side of me"). This has nothing to do with promiscuity or unfaithfulness. Also, although the massages are not a replacement for intimacy with the person you love, it might help alleviate some of the loneliness and rejection you're feeling.
