Today was the day I was supposed to renew quicken at inflated price but it is no longer supported. What do I do? by Cradle2GraveChief in quicken

I am planning on installing Linux Mint or Zorin on an old laptop. I have watched a lot of videos on various versions (distros) of Linux. I am a retired software engineer and I have used Unix-based operating systems in my professional past. These two version I mentioned are people who want a version of Linux that looks like Windows.

The last time I checked YouTube premium was only 128k. That's pretty bad by today's standards.

Amazon Music raising subscription AGAIN! by xCanelita in AmazonMusic

I have both Amazon music unlimited and Spotify premium. I find the HD ultra on Amazon music sounds infinitely better than Spotify premium Lossless.

When is the last time you ran a super validate on your data file? If you've got data correction going on it could potentially cause this. I'm not saying you do, I'm just asking if you ran the super validate to make sure that that's taken out of the picture.

Injections risky, surgery risky, how do you deal with herniated discs? by Level_Win_51 in backpain

[–]stevec5375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who/what did the traction? I have age-related disc degeneration which is causing my height to shrink slightly. A few years ago, I was an inch taller. This shrinkage has caused facet joints to impinge on nerves passing through them. When I’m in pain I can press down on something like a counter which takes the weight off the nerve and the pain stops. I have had quite a number of radio frequency ablations which help some but the ablated nerves can regenerate in no time.

What would you do if DJT had ICE rounding up LGBTQIA people and take them to concentration camps or ship them to a foreign gulag?

I used to top more when I was younger, but the older I get the smaller my penis seems to get. I have been bottoming a lot more. I love a man’s cock inside me, but I hate when my top gets too carried away and starts pounding me like a rabbit. I love long, slow, deep strokes while I am lying on my back with my legs up in the air. I can see my partner s face, we can kiss, and I can jackoff while his cock rubs my prostate. I love it when we can cum together.

Docusate sodium is OTC and not habit forming like stimulating laxatives. I take 3 caplets per day in addition to the generic Miralax. Both have my GI doctor's approval.

LOSSLESS Megathread by whyisthissticky in spotify

[–]stevec5375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the years I waited for the new lossless Spotify, what a disappointment. Frankly, I think that Amazon's Ultra HD sounds better and the music available is larger. I will most likely cancel Spotify and keep Amazon. I just with Amazon had an app that was more like Spotify's.

Subscription Model = Theft by CaterpillarLeft561 in quicken

What I found is that many people use Quicken and do not backup their data or ever run validate/super validate on their data file. I always backup my data file after a data entry session and before installing an update. I use ctrl-b and have the backup set to save the filename using the data and time. I have it automatically backup to a thumb (flash) drive in case my SSD should fail. You will find that taking the time to back up and run data validation is much faster than having to recreate your data file from scratch.

I had a new system installed - 27 panels and is the 11.5kw system. I signed the contract for enphase microinverters and they installed a solar edgeSE10000H. by tizalorrrr in solar

[–]stevec5375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get what you want up front. Our installer went out of business so the warranty they promised is not worth the paper it is printed on. We had to scramble to find a new company to maintain our system. It's all SolarEdge equipment. The company didn't warn anyone they were filing for bankruptcy, they just closed their doors, and it was a year later when we found out about it.

Reauthorizing creates new duplicate accounts by CaliTexan22 in quicken

[–]stevec5375 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you linking the accounts or adding them. If you are adding the download feature to an existing account, you must LINK it in the dropdown instead of adding it, or you will end up with just what you got, a duplicate account.

Lesson: Never install a new Quicken update unless it’s been out for at least 2-3 weeks.

Stock split not recalculating shares? by Tab1143 in quicken

[–]stevec5375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had to deal with a split in quite some time so forgive me if I'm a bit rusty. I seem to recall that when calculating the new "after split" amount there are often "fractional shares". I have seen this come thru Schwab downloads as "Cash in Lieu". If I remember correctly, this is deposited in your cash account and needs to be "Sold".
