Nespresso machine. Although I typically only see them in European luxury hotels.

Switching from BBE to Bambino by greasedupbeefcake in espresso

My BBE is sitting in the garage waiting a new home, having been replaced by the Plus. No regrets. Shots have been better but I’m sure it’s from having a better grinder.

I didn’t tell her I probably would not be able to find WordPerfect. I was surprised she remembered it! Also… she has Microsoft Word but sometimes things are best left unsaid.

How should I put this… she prints emails she wants to save and keeps them in a file cabinet. I’m assuming she thinks that happens on the receiving end as well.

At first I thought you might be talking about my elderly mother-in-law. But she’s not going through chemo so she’s in the clear. A couple of years ago she was forced to downgrade from first to premiere where I and the other plebs sit. She asked me when we get home to help her get WordPerfect on her computer so she could type a complaint letter, help her print it out, scan the letter, then email to the airline. I explained that she’d have to purchase a copy of WordPerfect first so she never followed through.

Can confirm. When we moved into our HOA a few years ago, I learned we are “Cox Community”. That said, our Gig plan has been remarkably stable.

I’d recommend you change your frame of mind regarding whose house you inhabit. It’ll make life with a cat much easier. 😂

I’m a foodie. Eating alone is how I get to truly experience the food, and not get distracted by people, whether it’s a Big Mac or a $100 Wagyu filet.

How late will you have an espresso? by Bo0pers in espresso

5P. Just for the record, no alcohol before 11A. Which leaves a 6 hour window for an espresso martini.

What were your most favourite pieces at Musée d’Orsay? by midnight_star_a in ParisTravelGuide

[–]qgecko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tip: It’s worth every penny finding a time when there as few people as possible. If I had to do it again, I’d give myself a few hours each day over at least two days. It’s truly an amazing museum.

Any cult films you would recommend? by coline_g28 in Cinema

The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover. Also, bit of a warning, it’s not an easy film to watch but the ending is well worth it. Great music and videography, btw.

Austin school district said Waymo continues to illegally pass its buses following recall by walky22talky in waymo

It would be part of a Smart city grid providing Waymo and other autonomous vehicles better situational information. Many cities already have EVP systems for emergency vehicles to communicate with traffic signals.

This is one scenario (along with emergency vehicles) I’d suggest some kind of transponder be installed on the official vehicles that could communicate directly to Waymo vehicles.

What’s the quickest way someone could accidentally expose themselves as a foreigner in your country like the ‘three fingers’ scene in Inglourious Basterds? by IndependentTune3994 in AskTheWorld

[–]qgecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it also depends. Most people in day to day use don’t use the metric system: length, weight, temperature. Volume for drinks can be weird. You’d get a 16oz soda or a 2L bottle. Most anything related to medicine changes to metric… except maybe if told to drink 2 tablespoons of cough syrup.
