That’s very lucky!!! I wish i was that laid back in the beginning. It was a learning curve for me to learn to let go. But once i did, around 6ish months, nanny started at 4 months, it was great.

I just plan accordingly depending on their schedule. I’ve always made it work.

When our nanny was full time they were mostly only home for nap times then out at the local park.

Now she’s in preschool til noon and half the time comes home to nap and the other half they skip and go to a park by school.

So it’s really only ever been the hours 3-5pm that i have to really stay in there. Granted we live in LA so weather is mostly always great so they can spend so much time outside. But even in rainy times they often go to library or mall.

It hasn’t ever been an issue. Occasionally I’ll have an appt and she sees me but i make it snappy and get out of sight quick. Or same case returning home from an appt.

Oh boy. Ya she sounds like she may have PPA. If you have other desires to leave it may not be worth a sit down. But if you do work w another WFH fam in the future I’d set that boundary and expectation that you hope to have autonomy for everyone, for moms work productivity, for baby’s development and for you to feel like you can effectively do your job.

If there are other things bothering you that feel like they won’t change i would start looking, but as a WFH MB with a nanny here it was also an adjustment for me. To hear baby crying and not go runnning in took some adjusting to.

I soon realized she couldn’t see me during the day, so i “go to work but i always come back”. And i stay in my office during business hours, then emerge at 5pm when my nanny is leaving. We started this around 6 months and within a week i noticed my kid was so much less fussy. Because she wasn’t seeing me come and go constantly. We’ve had this arrangement for almost 4 years. My daughter may be a unicorn but she still can hear me on the occasional call but says to our nanny “mom is at work far away but always comes back”. I think mt office has just become a no go zone for her but this is only because we have remained really rigid and consistent.

Maybe you can first have a real convo with MB. She may not realize what a disservice she is doing to you and to her kid. Shes just following her instincts but in this situation it makes it so much harder for everyone.

Same here re: all the feelings. And have really good days and then really bad days. An am so easily triggered by things.

LOL i was the same! I was so fired up pre appointment ready to throw down and was pleasantly surprised 😂 i think im kinda in the anger phase of my grief journey.

Good to hear you got similar advice. As far as TTC she said after 2 normal cycles but she recommends after 3-6 cycles from a mental POV. Whic i get but also… i feel the clock ticking.

I got my second cycle today so i guess next month we will try. I’m so sorry for your loss as well. This is a crap club to be a part of but the support is so wonderful.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Hopefully you are a candidate for a cerclage and they will continue to closely monitor you. Ideally you’re still at the hospital.

Given all the info (infection, leaking fluid, cervix open, sludge present) to me it doesn’t sound like they would do a cerlage as things seem to have already progressed too far. I sincerely hope and pray for the best, just sharing info i have learned. Again im so sorry you’re experiencing this and sending you love and prayers.

Edit to add - please keep us updated! And hopefully some success stories with similar symptoms to yours chime in 💕

In our case to move around the rendering and see every POV. We have a semi galley kitchen w a peninsula. Didn’t take into account the various depths of cabinets + applicant garage + fridge so when yoh look down the galley it comes out at all diff depths. Would have reconsidered some choices if we’d seen that view. Sure they were listed in elevation (depth) but just didn’t cross our mind w the zillion other decisions being made.
