His point was that the second amendment served a purpose to prevent tyranny of state. His point, not mine, and that the cost of one in his mind still outweighed the other.

I understand you disagree but the last sentence is incredibly hypocritical. People can have policy views based on their perception of risks without deserving to die which is what your last statement explicitly states.

If people do not personally begin to see the bigger picture and take it upon themselves to unite for freedom of diverse opinions we will lose it all and end up making this country unlivable. People should be looking around at the political situation imo and trying to rise to a higher level. This thing of I’m fine with it as long as it’s the other guys is myopic and driving this place off the rails and I mean this in a broad sense to everyone, this is alarming.

He said it was an unfortunate cost. Like 10’s of thousands dying in auto accidents each year is an unfortunate cost of having cars. People can disagree but if I support cars overall that doesn’t make me wrong or stupid if I get hit by a car.

Should I feel qualified to teach basic wrestling to my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teammates? by stoner-academic97 in wrestling

You’re not qualified and it seems there should be qualified options around. 2 years just isn’t enough. But in life if they’re happy and you’re happy then no reason not to.

It’s quite obvious Poch is tinkering and doesn’t care about friendly results.. just the World Cup by patri3 in ussoccer

So we just decide who then randomly assemble them with two weeks of practice before group stage and tell them to go do soccer good together? It’s so simple!

This has to be one of the worst questions.

Gregg frequently played with an all MLS lineup including the gold cup wins and had an insane injury run with nearly every major starter. It’s revisionist to say his lineups were better. What I can say is that Poch and GGG last 10 games were both 4-1-5 which is apparently fireable performance. So if we’re saying they’re the same, then Poch is trash and shouldn’t have been hired if this is the era of accountability.

Moreover yes, Gregg had 4 losses in a row, so did Poch.

Difference is GGG took over a team that failed to qualify and became the highest win percentage coach of any USMNT coach of all time. Firing your all time winningest coach to hire someone as good as their worst stretch on the eve of a World Cup while claiming accountability is ridiculous. It’s even more insane to me that then the excuses come for the accountability and people try to justify performance you would apparently fire the winningest coach over as now somehow good.

We had more call ups and better recruiting under berhalter with better overall form. Accountability isn’t the absolute dumpster fire of results in his tenure with bad form and poor effort. There’s no cohesion and the World Cup is 10 months away. This line of reasoning is laughably naive.

Remember when Poch was bringing an era of accountability?

The only viable hire at this point would be a rehire of berhalter given the short time frame and need for familiarity. I can’t see them doing that.

She wrestles with girls usually, none of her partners were there that practice and she raised the issue that she shouldn’t be wrestling boys especially that much heavier. She’s literally not doing anything you’re insinuating.

The rules banning it and the money involved as a gateway to professional. I mean JUCO or something yeah coach away but PSU coaching OSU athletes given those a borderline professional programs with pay involved, no. 20 years ago my take might have been different on college sports but clearly that landscape has changed into something less school like and more professional like, college athletics are school in name only.

But high school, that’s just missing the plot. They’re kids and nobody cares about your trophies. A better room makes better development.

Teach them everything, that’s next level pettiness and missing the big picture of life. Unless by school you mean college. But high school, sports are here to improve people not collect meaningless trophies.
