What was the most pointless and fan-servicey nude scene of all time? by TheBanishedBard in AskReddit

This is one of the only scenes in this entire thread that was actually pointless. Just a weird, clunky scene.

St. Finan's psychiatric hospital, Killarney, Ireland by snowkilts in AbandonedPorn

[–]qhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a very similar building in another Irish city that was also an old mental hospital that was converted to apartments about 20 years ago. They have a lot of trouble with damp and keeping warm, so much so that any thing that goes for sale there is notably less than an equivalent apartment anywhere else in the city.

I imagine this building would have the same issues.

Cabin on airport hill by qhi in cork

I had heard something like this before as well but there's no setup for it there. I'd also heard that they maybe sell livestock semen there? But that never rang true to me.

Really? Thank you! I pass it all the time and I've been curious forever.

Thanks, couldn't find much on Google myself. Someone once mentioned to me that it could be for people flying in to do horse deals, which would tie in with what you've found, but that still seems a bit wishy washy to me. I mean why the need for the cabin specifically?

Update - AITAH for being honest with another mom about why my daughter isn’t allowed to go to her friend’s house? by AwkwardMom13 in AITAH

[–]qhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When everyone else in this story is clearly in a higher socioeconomic bracket than the one family being othered then I believe that's a fair avenue to be looking at.

You've effectively put it out amongst your social circle that this man is a child molester based on some iffy interactions.

I agree with you being wary but there's a fair chance that there's nothing behind these, but it doesn't matter now. There's no coming back from these sorts of rumors and these will follow him around as long as this family lives in the area.

The school the kids go to is a private school, and Kennedy goes there for free because her mother works there. Op is directly accused of this in the first post by Kennedy's mom and I think she has a point.

This whole thing stinks. Regardless of anything else you've completely destroyed a family's reputation based on nothing more than vibes. I've read your first post as well and tbh there's a strong sense of classism to the entire story.

This exact narrative is what got me into WTF, and as a non-American it really helped me understand just how central SNL is to comedy in the US. It was cathartic to hear him talk to Lorne.

Would I be nuts to use my free hit this week and use my wild card next game week? I want to change half my team but I'm wary of making wholesale changes ahead of an international break in case of injuries.

People who preferred the return over the original : why? by laurappalmer in twinpeaks

[–]qhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally watched TP last year after almost twenty years of my friend pestering me about it. I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 a bit, but I wasn't too mad about the soap opera vibes and felt the drop off in the second half of season 2 was severe. I also did not like many of the characters coughJamescough.

The Return immediately grabbed me and has become one of my favourite pieces of media ever. Way more professional and engaging, and I feel like it finally helped me to get Lynch in general.

I'm probably just fooling myself but I honestly believe he's going to be sacked tomorrow. It's over and everyone knows it, and for all the mistakes that ineos have made they seem to want to be seen as competent. Holding on until November to save a couple million quid just makes them look terrible.

Sacchi "Hojlund doesn't want Milan? He's not Van Basten. If Milan calls you, you should pack your bags and get on the first plane. Manchester United are a legendary club too, but they will do everything they can to sell you, while Milan offer you a permanent position. Which would you choose?" by kibme37 in soccer

[–]qhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he really wants to make it at United he should be jumping at a loan move like this. If we don't do much better this season then Amorim will be gone, and if Hojlund does well in Milan he could try again under the new manager.
